Spacious, comfortable newly-renovated gite - perfect for large groups and family gatherings. La Grange Richard is set in the beautiful Limousin countryside within easy reach of the pretty Medieval town of Le Dorat. We offer a combination of rural tranquility and great facilities (e.g. swimming pool), with plenty to do and see nearby. La Grange Richard is a former farm dating back to 1613, and it's heritage is reflected in the surrounding countryside, free-range hens and famous Limousin cows. We have lived here since 2018 and continue to landscape the gardens and renovate the outbuildings - it is a work in progress! We live on-site. We are on hand to look after the animals, clean the pool and maintain the garden etc. However, you will have space and privacy e.g. sole use of the terrace. We are happy to advise on local activities, restaurants etc. La Grange Richard is within easy walking distance of the pretty town of Le Dorat, which boasts a number of cafes and restaurants, a supermarket, bank, pharmacies etc. We are situated between the historic cities of Poitiers and Limoges, and within easy reach of Futuroscope. The area is ideal for those who love the great outdoors - rivers, swimming lakes, fishing, walking, cycling, rafting etc. We are within easy reach of Poitiers and Limoges airports, and there are train stations in both Le Dorat and Bellac. A car is advisable for exploring the area. There are many great walking and cycling routes nearby.
