Domaine de La Prade - East Wing

This private wing of a "maison de maitre" is a fully and well furnished gite with private entrances & private terrace with direct access to our 19 acre parkland estate with its' large swimming pool and full sized tennis court plus tree lined walks. Besides the ample open plan living/dining/kitchen area and private terrace you can stroll in the estate, relax by the pool and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. There is also wifi for those who wish to stay in contact with friends and family. The whole of the East Wing is rented out in total with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathrooms, a separate toilet, a fully equipped kitchen within the open plan living/dining area downstairs. The outside space is for all our guests to enjoy (bar the private terraces) - the maximum that we can accommodate at any one time in our 3 gites (we also have the West Wing with 3 bedrooms and The Cottage with 2 bedrooms) is 14, so it never feels over crowded. Regine and/or I will be here throughout your stay, but giving you your space, to assist you with ideas of what and where to go. We also provide a folder in the gite with ideas and if French is not your language we can help out there as well! Domaine de La Prade is located 2 kms from the small village of Villasavary amid fields of sunflowers, wheat, corn and soya (dependent on the farm) and offers you peace and tranquility whilst also providing a base to explore this glorious region of France with its' history (cathar castles, Carcassonne, Canal du Midi, Toulouse etc.), many vineyards and restaurants and Mediterranean beaches slightly further away. Guests can get to us by air (Carcassonne with Ryanair; Toulouse with other major carriers), by train (Carcassonne or Toulouse) or drive here direct. We have enough off street parking for all guests. As Domaine de La Prade is outside the small village of Villasavary and is a rural location consequently a car is essential for getting around. There is a small local 'Taxe sejour' per night per person (children under 18 are exempt).
