This delightful cottage is privately owned and managed and direct contact with the owners, who live nearby, ensures a warm welcome and personal service. The cottage is completely self-contained and after initial contact with the owners, you will have exclusive use. There are 9 bed spaces but plenty flexibility to add cots and camp beds. No extra charge for extra people. 8 adults and 2 children or 6 adults & 4 children are the recommended maximum with the possibility of 1 cot placed in a parental double. As the owners live nearby they are always on hand to deal with problems should they occur. Lulworth Cove is a world renowned beauty spot and the Jurassic Coast has been designated a World Heritage Site. At Rose Cottage you will be living in the midst of this stunning area. At night and in the early morning you will be amazed by the silence. The day time is a little different as many thousands of people visit every day. The majority are day visitors and by 6pm they are mostly gone! The Lulworth Cove Inn is only 50yds from the cottage where meals are served all day. A delightful cafe on the beach provides light refreshments all day including light lunches and delicious coffee. There are many ice cream kiosks and a small convenience store only 50yds. A larger store is 200yds. Fish & Chip Supper, Finlay’s is just across the road in the beach Car Park. Further up the village the Castle Inn is a traditional English Pub serving a good selection of Real Ales and Ciders. The Limestone Hotel is the place for a celebration meal with an excellent chef and a very high standard of cuisine. Booking is essential. There is a good Spar Shop in Wool, 5 miles. All major supermarkets will deliver to the cottage. 2 1/2 hours from London by car, this glorious area is much easier to access than Devon and Cornwall. Trains run hourly from Waterloo to Wool station which is 5 miles away. Dorset is a wonderfully rural county and there are many places to visit for all tastes. Really close are Lulworth Castle, Corfe Castle, Monkey World, The Tank Museum and the Swanage Railway, to name but a few. There is parking for three standard cars on the roadway opposite the cottage. (2 larger vehicles). There is ample parking in Beach Car Park opposite if necessary. A 24hr - 1 week parking pass can be obtained through the owner.
