The place is surrounded by Kinglake National Park. KH is ideally suitable for families activities/reunion, school/childhood friends groups and sporting clubs pre/post season activities, hens/bucks night or wedding, business training. We also offer horse trail riding, horse agistment, with affordable self-catered accommodation. We have an on-site manager, Steve, to assist. Minimum stay on long weekends is two nights. Early check-in by arrangement. Check-out 1pm weekdays, 4pm weekends. The property has a nature ambience that is totally rural in nature. We have two houses on this property, the distance between the two house is about 1 min walking time. The main house has three bedrooms and two toilets. The other house has one bedroom and one toilet. Room availability depends on the numbers of a group. While you stay, you can enjoy a quiet paddle of a canoe on the lake or a swim when it is hot. spend time watching some of the sixty species of birds seen on the property or sneak up on a kangaroo or wombat. 10 minutes drive away from country pub meals, cafes, supermarket, takeaway food, police, ambulance, petrol, post office, weekend markets and vineyards. 1.5 hours from the Melbourne CBD. Dandenongs,Healsiville,Yarra Vally all within comfortable day trips. Half hour from Yea for visitors coming from north Victoria. Half hour from Yarra Glen when coming from eastern suburbs. Half hour from Wittlesea coming from northern suburbs. Once you drive through the gate, you can follow the driveway and park next to the house. Bed configuration and available bedrooms vary from time to time and the "baby room" is generally only available when we know a baby is coming, or when the group is very large. there is more than 25 beds set up and more can be added. There is also space for camping if the indoor space is near capacity. Where the booking capacity (16 people), is insufficient for your needs, send a message and arrangements are easily made. Additional persons are charged at the same rate as the system booking of 5 - 16. For very large groups of 35 or more and for camping a discounted price can be arranged. Communicate through the Airbnb message system. Our on-site manager, Steve, is usually available to greet and assist you. Steve lives in a separate residence without sharing any facilities with guests. Quiet rural neighborhood with no immediate neighbors to disturb you whilst a short drive from modern services. Pick-up or delivery to public transport can be arranged. The closest train station is South Morang. Own car is a preferable option. Remember to bring personal toiletries as we only provide towels and bed linen. At present, we are unable to provide any food, including tea, coffee or milk. There is detergent powder for the dishwasher provided, along with dishwashing liquid for hand washing in the sink.
