The Intendant’s lodging House

In the South of Loiret, Karinne and Patrick welcome you in the former Intendant’s lodging of the Vaizerie Castle. You have an own garden with terrace in the shade of a wisteria. Garden furniture and a barbecue are available. An organic garden with aromatic plants and seasonal vegetables is also reserved for the cottage. Among family or between friends, come to discover the flavors and the heritage of Giennois, High Berry and Pays Fort Sancerrois, near the Sologne region. The 120 m ² cottage, includes a main room with fireplace, fully fitted and well equipped open plan kitchen complete with dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, gas cooker, toaster, coffeepot, kettle and espresso. A ground floor large bedroom with en-suite shower room. A standard size bed (140×190) and a small bed (90×190) are installed. In the shower room, equiped with bassin and composting toilets, you have a special access to a balcony giving a spectacular view of the countryside. (the former guard tower) The 50m² first floor offers you a huge double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. you’ll find a queen size bed (160×200), a small bed (90×190), composting toilets (we are eco-friendly), a flat-screen tv with DVD player. For your comfort Beds made upon your arrival (quilt cover, fitted sheet, pillowcase) The Bathroom linen are supplied (per person: 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel and 1 flannel), the tea towels & the cleaning products are supplied We offer you some commodities (toilet paper, soap, washing-up liquid, toweling, dishwasher tablets, paper kitchen roll), condiment (oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar), also tea and coffee. Ample car parking for at least two cars Ashtrays available outside for our smoker friends The sociable pets are admitted (not in beds) but be aware the garden is not fenced. Free internet PLEASE NOTE – our cottages is located close to a river and pond, children should be supervised at all times. A modest distance to the south east of Orleans and to the north of Sancerre and the Burgundy (Saint Fargeau and Pouilly), at the eastern end of the Valley of the Kings, at only 170 km south of Paris (1 hour only from Fontainebleau), on the banks of the river Loire between Gien (bone china factory) and Briare (Canal Bridge), and close to the Guedelon's medieval castel construction site. How to find Domaine de la Vaizerie ? On your navigator, ask for “Le Château", city : Cernoy en Berry. Easy access. From Paris : Leave Paris on the A.6 in the direction of Lyon. After Nemours, take A.77 to Nevers until you reach the Briare exit. The cottage is only 15 km from the highway exit. The closest station is the Gien or Briare railway station. You can get there from the Paris Gare de Lyon station taking the direction of Nevers. Depending on the trains your trip from Paris will vary between 1h30 and 2h. If you wish we can get you at the station. Of course inform us before of your time of arrival.
