Charming and bright apartment in the heart of Lugnano (TR): heating, two large double bedrooms , living room with fireplace, kitchen and bathroom with shower. Located a few kilometers from the main cities of historical interest - art and culture of Umbria , the lung of Italy ! Hello everyone I am Francesco Ciccio for friends ! I spent most of my summer holidays in Lugnano and even now, by biggest, I love to spend a few days in absolute tranquility in this cozy apartment , relaxing in front of the fireplace listening to a good jazz record . Lugnano is a typical Umbrian village , about an hour 's drive from Rome or Florence , strategically placed to reach the most ' famous art cities of Umbria, rich in cultural events ( an example: Umbria Jazz ), but also the WWF Oasis of Alviano , the Park of Monsters in Bomarzo , Orvieto and Spoleto (Festival of the Two Worlds ) . Worth visiting : the Convent of St. Francis of Assisi, the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta and the Castello di Bartolomeo Alviano . The apartment is equipped with independent heating , large shower and is ideal for a romantic weekend getaway for couples or families (possibility to add an extra bed) . So if you feel like spending a vacation of relaxation, healthy eating (do not miss the goodies of the oven in the house ! ) And the unspoiled nature please email me, I'll be happy to welcome you ! An old radio and a turntable will be the means that you will find more teconologici .. rediscovering the pleasure of talking together in front of the fireplace with a glass of good red wine The apartment is rented on weekends or for weeks, with check-in and check-out on Saturday or Sunday from 14ed by 14 ( with flexibility). We will meet to know each other in front of a coffee bar in the square and voila ;) Lugnano is counted among the most beautiful villages in Italy . Collegiate Church of St. Maria (eleventh or twelfth century, building on existing IX ) , in Romanesque style. Contains Cosmatesque mosaics , a Crucifixion by Giotto school and the painting St. John the painter off of school Livio Agresti from Forlì . In 1500, it was collected in the entire population of Lugnano , it was also a place in the cemetery , but in 1559 was abolished and taken out of town . Convent of St. Francis was built by the people of Lugnano in 1229 where St. Francis I work a miracle to save a child from the jaws of a wolf with the intervention of a goose . Palazzo Farnese palace or pole -Ridolfi is the name referred to the flagpole mast of a ship as the highest point of Lugnano . The palace was built around 1650 and the Cardinals have lived in 1500. The name comes from the first pole owner: Antonio Penone . Today is the municipal seat . Palace of the Counts Bufalari Church of Sant ' Antonio Abate is dated to the early 1500s belonging to the company or the brotherhood of S. Antonio purposes of agricultural order . The feast of St. Anthony still takes place January 17 of each year , but no longer has the old content and folklore populated when the campaign came in front of it all the animals for the blessing . Church of Majesty (or Maestade ) . Dated in the year 1400 , perhaps initially as a small kiosk. In 1500 it contained a venerated image unspecified . In 1800 it was dedicated to St. John . The ex- factory (or factory only ) in the late 1800s early 1900s was important to an electric light bulb factory , home of generating electricity ... up to be the center of the farm with grinding oil production , harvesting and processing of cereals and a cellar. Aquistata by the municipality in 1991 , should become , with EEC funds , cultural center and tourist information office and the Antiquarium of the historical archive of the municipality. Other sites of historical and archaeological interest are Roman Villa and the Necropolis of Poggio Gramignano children .
