A family home in secluded shorefront location, 2 minutes walk from nearest restaurant and within 15 minutes walk to all other village amenities. We have lived in Skye for over 35 years and are happy to share local knowledge with you. We are keen walkers and cyclists and can suggest routes. We have 2 small, friendly terriers who will be very happy to see you!! Breakfast is continental with fantastic views of Broadford Bay, served at 9 or earlier by arrangement. Guests can help themselves to breakfast of fresh bread, juice, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, pancakes, cheese, boiled eggs and preserves, coffee and a variety of teas. You will have access to a toaster and kettle. Gluten free bread, gluten free muesli, soya milk and soya margarine are also always available. In the bedroom a comfortable king sized bed and en suite shower room, a kettle and a variety of teas/coffees and biscuits One of us will always be around, as much or as little interaction as you want. Lot's of lovely restaurants within walking distance. Nice walks that we are happy to share with you. Our home is very central but secluded in Harrapool, no car necessary for a stay here but advised if you want to explore the beautiful island. We strongly advise guests to prebook the Mallaig/Armadale ferry if planning to travel on this route, also advisable to book distillery tours at Talisker to avoid disappointment. We have ample parking at Claigan, even for larger vehicles. Martin is an on call firefighter and if he gets a fire call will have to leave you, please don’t be alarmed! NB: Sat Nav systems will often direct travellers to Mallaig as the quickest route to Skye but this involves a ferry journey which is subject to a timetable, follow directions to Skye Bridge instead.
