Fairwater is an original, stone, fisherman's cottage with character and charm, which we renovated in 2015. There's a sheltered patio at the back for breakfasts and barbecues, a garden in the front, inter-leading garage on the side and sea views from the bedrooms. It's just perfect for inter-generational family holidays. It's meters from the village, minutes from the beach, and a few kilometers from three golf courses and award-winning wine farms. It's peaceful, pretty and sleeps 8 comfortably. Fairwater is right in the centre of Kalk Bay, overlooking a small children's park and the sea beyond. The style is Kalk-Bay-quirky and comfortable too. Perfect for multi-generational family holidays with 1 double bedroom and bathroom downstairs and 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. Quiet, spacious, and completely equipped, the cottage will capture your heart. There is a garden in front, a patio at the back and a double garage on the side. It's sunny and safe and suitable for all ages. The whole house sleeps up to 8 guests. We're Cape Townians and we live close by. We're right there if you need us! We're happy to help you plan your day trips and direct you to the places we know and love. There are more than enough wonderful things to see and fabulous places to go to entertain everyone for 10 glorious days - at least! Kalk Bay is a small village clustered around a working harbour where fresh fish is sold daily. Developed over a 100 years ago, it has small cobbled streets and little shops selling clothing and coffee, antiques and locally made ice-cream. It's charmingly alternative and quite unique in South Africa. You'll need a car and there is space for 2 in the garage, and 1 off street parking at Fairwater. However, there is also a train 3 minutes walk away that travels between Cape Town and Simonstown, passing through Kalk Bay on the way. Alternatively Uber is the way to go.
