Cottage de la Montee Saint Roch

Our little holiday house is in Padern is in a charming medieval village in the Corbieres region, not fare from the Spanish border and the sandy beaches and picturesque harbors of the Mediterranean. The village is well placed for exploring the many fortresses once inhabited by the Cathares. The house is found on the small stepped lane that leads to the castle. Each morning as you open the bedroom shutters you are greeted by the ever changing colour of the mountains The house is very comfortable for 2 peoples and can accommodate 3. It has a main room with a well-equipped kitchen and a sitting room with a sofa folding bed for 2 . The bathroom with a toilet is at the same level. The upstairs double bedroom has a beautiful view over the tiled roofs of the village and distant hills. For half the year, I am living not fare from your temporary house in Padern and I am always there to help. I am spending the French winter month in Australia I am always available to share all the information needed to discover the region. Many scenic drives explore the valleys of vineyards and olive groves and ancient villages with magnificent views of castle topped limestone crags emerging from the Garrigue vegetation. There is no public transport and therefore need your own wheel. The street are very narrow and it is recommended to park your car in the car park near the Mairie We provide bed linen, towers, washing powder and do the cleaning at the end of your stay.
