Casaazzurra in Canova, Oira, Piemonte

The house is divided on 3 floors. On floor one is the entrance to the house with a large terrace with a wonderful where you can eat and spend time. From the terrace you enter the kitchen and living room which are next to each other. Upstairs are two bedrooms and bathroom with bath/shower and toilet. At the top is a large room with three beds and a roof terrace. The house has a total of seven beds, five singles that can be put together and a Queen Size for 2 people. (Website hidden by Airbnb) The house is located in a village that is monumentally listed and has over time developed into an excursion destination because of its beauty and carefully renovated house. Casaazzurra has all the original materials, the floors are granite and wood. The indoor feeling is bright and high in the ceiling. The views from both terraces are stunning. The 3 floors above the ground. Kitchen with terrace, living room, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, furnished loft with 3 beds and roof terrace. The river flows past below the house and you can swim in it as well as in other nearby rivers. there are swimming areas both within walking distance and at a quarter of a distance by car. You can also swim in the lakes further down the valley. Mountain hiking trails are everywhere, both near the house and around the mountains. There are good maps that make it possible to find fantastic hikes to villages, cottages with good food and lakes for quick cold baths. There are hikes and excursion destinations that suit everyone, regardless of age and in what physical form you are. Lake Maggiore is located where you can take a boat out on the lake, up to Locarno in Switzerland or to the island of Isola Bella. Domodossola is a nice little town about 10 mins by car where you can stroll around and shop in the small shops and gladly take an aperitif in the square at five o'clock with the locals. Every Saturday there is a market with a large selection of local food of all kinds. There is remarkably little tourism in the area even during holiday times. There is parking in the village which is about 10 min from Domodossola. There is also a bus a couple of times a day both to Domodossola and up to the mountains. Domodossola has a large train station with many passing trains to and from Milan, it takes about 1.5 hours to get there. Taxi from Domodossola to the village cost about 15 €. The central heating is not allowed to be used without contacting the host for instructions.
