Hop on one of the frequent trains, and arrive at Zurich main station in 10 minutes. Or, walk down to the gorgeous lake shore. This penthouse loft consists of two living spaces on two floors, the third and fourth floors of a fully renovated historic building in the heart of Thalwil. Floor heating throughout the apartment keeps even the coldest feet warm in winter. Guests are welcome to use both the third and fourth floors, the direct-access elevator (apartment key unlocks entry to the third floor in the elevator), the balcony on the fourth floor and rooftop terrace. Located right in the heart of Thalwil, the apartment benefits from all that the town has to offer. Situated on the western shore of Zurich lake, Thalwil's lake beach, lakeside restaurant, and scenic walks attract nature lovers and beach goers from near and far. Thalwil is a transport hub, and has unusually frequent and varied train options (fast trains as well as slow trains, something neighbouring towns do not have for example) for going downtown, to neighbouring towns and to the airport. Trains Buses abound and there is even a ferry stop providing a scenic route downtown or further lakeside explorations. Thalwil's main shopping street, where the building is located, has a wide variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. The train station is only 3 minutes away by foot. The lake beach, with it's beautiful scenery, swimming and leisure activities, and lakeside restaurant, is a short walk away. The ferry stop on Thalwil's shore offers easy access to a scenic ride into Zurich or exploring other lakeside towns. You can reach the penthouse loft by car, train, bus, or even ferry. From Zurich main train station take the Interregio train towards Luzern to reach Thalwil in 10 minutes or the S8, S2 or S24. Trainspotters, train enthusiasts and most kids will enjoy watching trains passing looking down the floor-to-ceiling windows. The train tracks are just below the hill and trains can be heard from inside the apartment. Noise levels are considerably lower when the windows are closed.
