Panorama 1200, in the Heart of the San Fermo Hills

Panorama 1200, your cozy home surrounded by nature offering a spectacular panoramic view on the South from your balcony. The apartment is located in the heart of the San Fermo Hills at 1200m height and is known for its unique views, landscapes, endless walking trails and other sport possibilities. Strategically located between Lake Iseo and Lake Endine, this home is designed to offer you a relaxing stay after each adventure. Perfect for families, couples and companies of up to 4 persons. Colli di San Fermo is a fraction of the municipality of Grone. It has several restaurants and bars, a tobacco shop and on in the summer every Sunday a small market with fresh local fruits, vegetables, cheese, etc. The home itself is small but cozy. It makes good use of the spaces and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There's room for 4 people divided over two bedrooms: a double bed room and a room with a bunk bed. In addition, there's room in the double bed room for a baby travel bed of 65 cm wide. Because of the location at 1,200 m height you will always find fresh air and there's no need for air conditioning. A special feature of the home is the balcony with a stunning panoramic view on the south; from where you will be able to enjoy the breathtaking sunrise and sunset. All of this while you also enjoy the cool fresh air of the hills and the relaxing sounds of nature all around you! In the spring of 2021 we renovated the apartment for the purpose of renting it out to travelers. The accommodation is part of a condo park consisting of three rows of privately owned condo's, most of which are used as holiday homes. The park is safe, quiet and there's a custodian who maintains and takes care of the public areas. There are several nice picnic spots- and small playgrounds spread around the park as well. To arrive at the San Fermo Hills you'll need your own means of transport because there's no public transportation available to and from the San Fermo Hills. Within 20 minutes you drive from 200 meters to 1,200 meters height, so that's quite a climb! You can arrive from two different directions: from Lake Iseo and from Lake Endine. Both ways have good spacious and well-maintained roads. This special destination is more than worth the climb! Once you arrive at the San Fermo Hills, you can park your car (or other means of transport) in your own private garage or in a public parking place within the gated residence. From the parking places and the garage it's a few meters walk to the apartment. In the garage there's also space for bike(s) and the possibility to charge your e-bike. The San Fermo Hills are a magical place with a unique atmosphere. As soon as you take the first few curves up the hills, you notice that you have arrived in a totally different world. The higher you climb up the San Fermo Hills, the more you're welcomed by the typical sounds and scents of the mountains. Within only 10 minutes it's possible to walk from your apartment to the top of the San Fermo Hills where you can enjoy a stunning 360 degrees view; on one side you gaze over the valleys from Milan to Piemonte and Liguria in the distance, and on the other side you gaze up to the Central Alpine mountains nearby. During the summer, the grass slopes on the hill are also a great place to picnic and sunbath with a nice fresh wind. The area is also extremely popular with sportspeople, not only are there endless opportunities for hiking and biking, but the place is also known as a paradise for paragliders and other flight activities. There's also a designated landing area for controlled model planes. There's plenty to experience within the San Fermo Hills, but Lake Iseo, Lake Endine, Bergamo and other points of interest are all within driving range as well! The most nearby big supermarkets are on the one side Eurospin at Vigano San Martino on a 20 minute drive, and on the other side Conad at Sarnico (lake Iseo) on a 30 minute drive. Besides that there’s a mini-market at Grone and at at Adrara San Rocco or Martino, both a 20 minute drive. I always advise to bring groceries already upon arrival and refurnish it to the need when going on trips with the car as you will always pass a supermarket whichever direction you go. Furthermore, regarding the apartment I would like to emphasize that we take extra care of the cleaning. We follow the 5-step enhanced cleaning process by Airbnb in which we always make use of protective equipment and clean and disinfect the entire area in great detail.
