Stay in a picturesque rural setting with access to fabulous gardens where you can relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. You will feel miles away in the country but still close to shopping and the Yarra Valley. It is very well appointed and has everything you need for a wonderful getaway. (Photos are captioned - some show special events.) TANGLEWOOD COTTAGE: Stunning provincial-style stone cottage with great amenities. Cosy in winter with a wood fire and split system air conditioning for quick cooling or heating. Very stylish, comfortable and an easy place to stay. Master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Additional bedroom with one single bed, a bunk bed and a trundle bed. Breakfast room off the main living room and bedrooms. Laundry with washing machine, dryer and extra toilet. Large kitchen and family dining area with lounge and TV. Large veranda with outdoor table setting and BBQ and outdoor portable gas heater. Undercover car port for two cars. Additional parking space also available. The front garden of the cottage is totally enclosed with a pet proof fence so your cat or dog can go outside and play or you can take them for a walk around the Estate. The Cottage is very private and has its own gravel driveway. Any Visitors or Extra guests will be charged $30 per day on top of your booking. Old post and rail fencing, a beautiful stone bridge, large ornamental and Australian gum trees, paddocks, an old barn, stables, and a stunning wisteria arbour are just some of the picturesque features of the Estate. Please respect our privacy if you wish to view the additional gardens. Additional parking available nearby: Please do not block the driveway at any time. For safety reasons we ask that you do not enter paddocks with horses in them. If you have a dog with you, please ensure it is under control at all times. Temporary Agistment, including access to stables and paddocks is available at an additional cost if you would like to bring your horse with you. We are living on the Estate so interaction upon arrival and during if required. The main house on the property is located approximately 100 metres away from the cottage. Albert our Retrievador is likely to pay you a visit and is extremely friendly and well behaved. He is the favourite attraction at Tanglewood. Close proximity to the Yarra Valley and close to Melbourne. Eastland Shopping centre in Ringwood is 15 minutes away by car with the latest in eateries and fashion. Wonga Park is located in the green wedge of Melbourne's eastern suburbs and close to historical Warrandyte located on the Yarra River. What you will love is how close we are to the Yarra Valley and if you are planning a wedding or going to a wedding nearby, Tanglewood Cottage is the perfect place to stay. Buses and trains at Mooroolbark Station (10 minute drive) or Ringwood station (15 minute drive) on the Lilydale train line. Collection from Mooroolbark or Ringwood train stations can be arranged if you don't have a car. Tanglewood Estate is a wonderful 10 acre property with a guest cottage ('Tanglewood Cottage' AirBnb), barn, shedding, stables and a manege. The property is divided into 6 paddocks and during the winter months has a meandering creek flowing through the valley. We have 4 ponies, 2 sheep, 2 cats and the world's best Retrievador named Albert. We have an abundance of bird life and the occasional echidna, kangaroos and deer. The property is nestled in a valley and has a beautifully landscaped garden. Pricing: Tanglewood Cottage pricing: Pricing is per couple per night. Extra persons attract an additional charge per person per night. The Cottage is booked based on the number of people staying or attending the Cottage. Prior negotiation with the host is required if you wish to invite anyone to the property. If you would like to bring your pet please enquire at the time of booking. If you are wanting to hold a small function, luncheon, dinner party, family get together, etc., there is an extra charge per person visiting the Cottage or the Estate.
