Kauri View Chalet

Our 2 EcoPods are set amongst gardens overlooking our Persimmon orchard and are close to nature walks, tramping, mountain biking tracks, safe swimming and surf beaches. Town is only 8 minutes drive away. A great place as a base to tour the Coromandel. We have a comfy beds, peacefulness and typical Kiwi Hospitality. Ensure you have a Covid pass or certificate and a photo ID when you check in. We are unable to accept unvaccinated guests at this time Please note the cost is $60.00 p.p. per night. My husband Russell and I have lived at our property for 34 years. We invite you to share our piece of paradise with us. We enjoy meeting travellers and offering genuine Kiwi hospitality. Our unique EcoPods have their own tea and coffee making facilities and guests will enjoy the comfort of their outdoor space. The Kauri View Chalet is furnished with two king single beds. If you are a group of 4 travellers, check out our other pod called Magpies Mirror. It has a Queen bed inside. :-) Guests share a kitchenette that is well equipped with a fridge, convection oven, induction hot plate, crockery, cutlery, toaster, kettle and washing up facilities. Here you will find complimentary free range eggs, cereal and toast. Plus home made jams to enjoy!! The lockable shower room has power points for hairdryers and shavers. Towels are provided for your convenience. There is a separate lockable toilet with a hand basin. We are more than happy to assist with any questions you may have or advice requirements to make your stay with us memorable and stress free. We live in a small valley that has farms, forestry, orchards and native bush reserves. Our property is bordered by a quiet meandering stream and has direct access to Coromandel Forest Park and the renowned Wentworth Valley Falls walk. You will need a vehicle as there is no public transportation other than a taxi service located in Whangamata. We have a Black Labrador dog who is very friendly. He is now 1 yr old and still in the puppy stage! :-) Please note that after more than 1 guest, there will be charge of $60 NZD per person, per night.
