Kawau_BEACHFRONT_BOATHOUSE
This converted boathouse is something quiet special, nestled in Stockyard bay on the beautiful Kawau Island it does not get more peaceful or beachfront than this. Sleeping five (recommended for school aged children up with the close water and stairs) it’s a place to come and unwind. Walk in the bush, fish off the wharf, swim in the ocean, read a book.. do as little or as much as you like. The Bach as a few basics such a tea, coffee, oil, salt, pepper, handy towels, fish liquid a small amount of toilet paper and cleaning products but you must bring everything else as there are no real shops on the Island. You can walk over the hill (or around the rocks at low tide) to the Boat Club that has a pub with food and drink and a small shop for some basic supplies. Catch the ferry from Sandspit and jump off at your own jetty at high tide. The bay also has great anchorage if you want to bring your boat. Three adult and two children’s kayaks are available from the next door cottage which you can also rent so why not bring family or friends and book both properties. (Beach_front_bliss) bring own life jackets please. Please feel free to ask any questions. No pets Min 2 night booking Must bring own sheets, pillow cases, towels and tea towels as no washing facilities. Just leave please leave tidy and make sure the BBQ is clean the rest we’ll do. Note that there is no wifi, so download some movies before or we bring our laptops and tether from our phone , there is a TV there with a DVD player and some movies if you wish but its deff a more no screen time place. Also we do clean it when we leave but if not been up for a little daddy long legs do tend to move in quite quickly so if a few webs aren’t your thing then this may not be the place for you. A quick broom around usually evicts them though
