Leafy, sunny private courtyard studio

This sunny studio is set in a leafy, private courtyard with a side entrance. It is adjacent to our family home. A short level walk will take you to Manly ocean beach, cafes, restaurants, shops, Manly wharf and all that this beautiful seaside suburb has to offer. Bicycles are available on request. There's a local bus(gold coin donation)out front that takes you to Manly and runs half hourly. The studio is equipped with a comfy queen bed with ensuite, kitchenette, bbq and sunny courtyard. A bright and airy room with comfy queen size bed and ensuite. Sleeps up to two guests(by request, could cater for an infant in a travel cot) which fits snugly in the corner. Please enquire before booking. Reserve cycle air conditioning for extra comfort. New kitchenette with glassware, dinnerware and cutlery, bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso machine. We also provide a Weber bbq for your cooking needs. The studio also has wifi and a Smart TV with Netflix, Stan and Freeview channels for your enjoyment. Access to the studio is via the front gate. Then the side passage on the right of the house will take you past the laundry to your studio at the back of the property. We do not access this area during your stay and please keep the gates closed so our two little dogs, Polly and Maddy don’t either:) Please be mindful of noise and our neighbours. We welcome our guests and are happy to answer any queries you have. The studio is very private so you may or may not see us during your stay, but our door is always open if you need anything or send a message if you prefer. We expect our guests to treat the space with care and respect. The studio is located in a very convenient area away from the noise and bustle of central Manly. There is a large soccer/cricket park and an aquatic centre with a gym just across the road. The beach is only a 10-15 minute walk. Only 5 minutes from home is the Harris Farm fresh fruit and veg market with an organic butcher and a fresh seafood market. You can even grab a coffee from the cafe outside to enjoy while you’re shopping. A bit further along from Harris you’ll find our local bottle shop, Ruby Lane organic cafe and Emporio another great cafe/florist. We have an endless list of great walks to do too. If you walk through Manly Lagoon to Queenscliff you can then head north up the stairs to Freshwater and Curl Curl beach. Or head south towards Manly to Shelley Beach and North Head. Up and over the hill will get you to Fairlight Beach and it’s scenic walk to Manly. The 10km Manly to Spit fairly easy walk is a must and you can catch a bus from the Spit back to Manly. Manly Dam is another hidden gem that is close by(10 minutes by car) Walking is by far the best way to explore Manly. There is unlimited street parking in our area. A local bus runs past our house every half hour to Manly, the wharf and surroundings. We can also supply bicycles free on request. ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE Check In is from 3pm Check Out is 11am Times can be adjusted if possible by prior arrangement. Please check that you have all your belongings before departure. APPLIANCES/LIGHTS Light switches inside the room are on the right side of the bathroom door. Bottom right switch is an outdoor sensor light and can be left on for entry/exit at night. Hot water-Due to the length of pipes to the studio the hot water can take a little time to come through. Please remember to turn off all lights, air con, fans and appliances when not in use or when leaving the studio. LINEN All linen(bed, bath, tea towels and beach towels are supplied for your use. Please be mindful of make up and tanning products as stains are difficult to remove. BEACHES It is recommended that you swim between the flags at all times and at all of our beaches. Manly has 3 sets of flags along the beach in the Spring/Summer season. At other times please observe where the flags are before entering the water. PARKING There is unlimited street parking in this area. Please note that as we have an aquatic centre with gym and a soccer field across the road finding parking on a Saturday can be more difficult in the soccer season. Also it is best to fold your drivers side mirror in as some of the streets are narrow and sadly mirrors have been damaged. PESTS During our warmer months you may notice more insects such as flies, ants, cockroaches and mosquitoes. We do regular eco pest control treatments but if necessary there is insect spray in the bathroom cabinet. COURTYARD The private outdoor area has a small dining setting and a Weber bbq. Please clean bbq after each use. SMOKING Smoking is not permitted on this property. LAUNDRY Laundry facilities are available on request for 4 night stays or longer.
