Superb sea views, house and courtyard on the quay

English and French spoken. Create wonderful memories in my charming house on the quay of Barfleur, rated one of the most beautiful villages in France. This typical fisherman's house has been tastefully renovated in a retro-style, with underfloor heating and a cosy woodburning stove, ideal for romantic escapes any time of year. This little corner of paradise is an ideal spot to relax and rest. A private courtyard separates you from the busy quay, with flower beds and a sunny bench. On the ground floor, there's a table, a breakfast bar and a fully equipped kitchen with underfloor heating. You'll even find a hand-mixer and special tools for eating the seafood that you can source from right outside on the quay :) In the first floor sitting room with its equally wonderful views of the sea, there are two comfortable armchairs, a shower room, TV, WIFI and a woodburning stove. There's a small bedroom in the eaves with a large washbasin, and a king size bed of 160cm where you can wake up and watch the fishing boats arrive with their daily catch. Good quality designer bedlinen is provided. Outside, there's a small courtyard with a bench, a parasol, a barbeque and outside shower. Very steep and narrow staircases, not suitable for children or those with mobility problems. The whole house and courtyard are available for your use. I live in Barfleur and am available to assist you throughout your stay. Situated right on the quay in the port of Barfleur, you have all you need within walking distance; two bakeries, cafés and restaurants are steps away, and a little supermarket at the entrance to the village is approx. 15 minutes on foot or two minutes in the car. There are numerous sandy beaches and lots of walking trails, a Grande Randonnee trail passes the house. Free parking is available on the quay. In high season, when the car park is busy, you can park right outside the house. Free parking is available on the quay outside the front door. Bed linen is provided for the kingsize bed. If you also wish to use the sofa bed there will be a charge of €12 for the additional bedlinen. Very steep and narrow staircases, not suitable for children or those with mobility problems. Firewood not included. Firewood is freely available at the local supermarket. Please don't smoke inside the house.
