Cosy Cottage on the edge of the Lake District
Pump Square is a charming two bedroom cottage, recently refurbished in June 2021. Situated on the edge of the Lake District in the friendly village of Little Broughton, just 3 miles from Cockermouth and a short drive to Keswick. Nestled snugly between the Lake District’s fells and miles of beautiful coastline, offering the perfect base to explore some of England’s best-loved landscapes. This cosy cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with a natural stone flagged floor, the lounge provides a comfortable space with a warming log burner, 43” smart TV and Wi-Fi throughout. Upstairs you’ll find one double bedroom and one small single bedroom, both with luxurious Sealy mattresses for an even greater night’s sleep. The bathroom offers the best of both worlds, with a luxury walk-in rain shower or bathtub to soak those achy muscles after a day out on the fells. All of the bedding is 300 count cotton sateen and the towels are plush, fluffy cotton for extra comfort. From the moment you arrive, leave your troubles at the front door and feel relaxed as you sink into the comfy sofa. Fire up the log burner using the complimentary fire starter kit provided by your host (extra logs are available to purchase) along with fresh milk in the fridge for that all important brew. If you would like to get away with your four-legged friends, you’ll be pleased to know that the cottage is pet friendly for a small fee of £30 per dog per stay, for a maximum of two dogs. You will also find plenty of free parking outside the property. The local area The village has a selection of country pubs, a local shop and plenty of walks and cycle rides right from your front door. If you fancy a hike up one of the Lake District fells or a leisurely stroll around one of the many lakes, Pump Square is the perfect base to explore it all. Or if you prefer the fresh sea air, cute coastal towns are just a stone throw away.
