Quaint quiet tranquil Blue Mountains getaway ❤
Welcome to our mountain getaway, Yuruga. It's a quiet, tranquil place to relax, recharge and rejuvenate amidst the peacefulness of the surrounding bushland in the Blue Mountains. Our cottage is on a quiet street in Lawson NSW, nestled amongst an established garden with an outdoor courtyard and 3.5 acres of bushland connected to trails leading to three beautiful waterfalls just minutes away. Easy going base to explore surrounding townships, including Wentworth Falls, Leura, Katoomba, Blackheath. Our two bedroom cottage is quirky with extensive wood and stone works in and around the property. It has a sunlit verandah for drinks and conversations, an private outdoor bath tub to soak in and a slow combustion wood fireplace to keep warm on cooler nights. The cottage has been thoughtfully set up and fully priced for four (4) max plus a small cleaning fee. This self catered home comes with linen and bedding provided plus all the kitchen facilities and equipment that you might need. Complimentary pantry and cleaning essentials are included for guests to make themselves feel at home straight away! Please enjoy the use of the smart TV, sound bar, DVD player, board games and check out our mini library. Our top priority is to curate a place for guests to have a safe, memorable and enjoyable time staying in our family home! What makes this place extra special for us is the entire sense of space with the extensive bush surroundings. It's super easy to switch off, relax, chill after a day of bush walks and treks in the mountains. From the paved driveway, the walkway access to the front main door is relatively flat (ie, no big steps) and straightforward. We have ample free guest vehicle parking on the property, in our driveways or the covered garage. Guests have full access to the entire property (house, courtyard and surrounding garden and bushland), except for storage cupboard, basement storage, shed and caravan. As the house is located next to bushland, we have several pathways around the property for guests to explore and check out. Some of these pathways can be uneven and rocky. So, just be mindful with your steps, especially if you are supervising young children. Also, take note our extensive property is unfenced. However, there is limited traffic on our street as it is a no-through road. I am available by mobile or Airbnb msg, for any support and/or assistance. Our house is located on a quiet street, connected to a bushwalk trails leading to the lovely Empire Pass Track and North Lawson Waterfalls Circuit Trail. Getting to the Lawson town centre is easy, just a 15-20 min walk or a short 3 mins drive. Lawson is a quiet township, located in the mid mountains of the Blue Mountains at approximately 730m above sea level, named after William Lawson, who in 1813 with William Charles Wentworth and Charles Blaxland were the first Europeans to cross the Blue Mountains. Lawson town centre has grocery shops, pharmacy, petrol station, bottle shops, florist, restaurants & cafes, an awesome bakery (not to be missed), bike & skate park, an Olympic size swimming pool, a bowling club and local pubs (including one that we really like that serves Guinness on tap). Being in the mid mountains, we are just minutes away by car / train to all the beautiful scenic locations / walks and small townships that you might want to check out below:- => Wentworth Falls (9 mins drive, 9 kms west - Wentworth Falls Lookout, Wentworth Lake) => Leura (16 mins drive, 13 kms west - Leura Cascades, Everglades House & Gardens, Sublime Point, Leura Mall) => Katoomba (18 mins drive, 16 kms west - Three Sisters, Scenic World Railway, Echo Point, Katoomba Falls) Getting around by car is easiest if you wish to check out surrounding walks as well as nearby townships, markets and scenic lookout points in the Blue Mountains! We are just a short and convenient drive to either Hazelbrook (heading east towards to Sydney) or if you continue westwards on the highway, it's Wentworth Falls, Leura and Katoomba. If you are taking public transport or want to get the town centre from the house, the Lawson Train Station is just 1.2 kms or 15 mins walk away, through a bit of bush, past the Lawson Swim Centre and it is a great way to explore the surrounding area. The local map is in our house manual with details of bushwalks and markets in the Blue Mountains. We acknowledge the Dharug people, the Traditional Owners of the land where we are located and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
