Vecchiascuola - Panoramic Old School

We are inside a former old school, totally renovated in 2016/18, with 5 lovely double rooms and 3 Studios with kitchen corner. We accept both reservations from Groups and single reservations, also for only 1 room / apt. You can reach us driving 5km from Chiavenna Centre on a winding road and then walking 300m from the free parking place where the road ends. Our place is very quiet and panoramic, in the typical pedestrian fraction of Pianazzola, at 635 m alt. with old stone houses and paths. All our rooms / apartments are decorated with school subjects such as Music, Biology, Astronomy, Philosophy.... as the building was the old school of the village from 1906 to 1981. Super panorama view on the above valley and on Chiavenna town. Not suitable for handicapped, as we are reachable only with 300m on foot from the parking. Only one little restaurant "La Terrazza" on site, at ground floor. The road leading from Chiavenna center to Pianazzola ends in a free parking. Then you have to walk down 300m to the reach our building, the last one of the small pedestrian village. We have a little The main entrance has a common key to enter the house into the reception corner and every Double room / Studio has its own private door with a key to close it. Inner stairs lead to the floors where the private rooms are. One little restaurant "La Terrazza" at ground floor, managed by other people, better to be reserved if you wish to eat there. We have a sunny garden for our guests in a beautiful panoramic point if you need our support during your stay, we are glad to help you Pianazzola is considered the Balcony of Chiavenna: unique panoramic view, sunny also in winter and cooler in summer as we are 635 m alt., with pleasant mountain breeze in summer evenings. Nature is all around us and our neighbours have goats, bunnies, cats and chickens. Old time ambience, stone paths and old houses. Climbing with Via Ferrata very near and many excursions (via Spluga, Via bregaglia) are possible around us, paths also in the woods. you can reach us only walking 300m from the public parking of Pianazzola (5km above from Chiavenna centre on a winding paved road) Pianazzola is a small panoramic fraction of Chiavenna, where no shops are available. Only one restaurant is situated in our same building at Ground floor (La Terrazza). Climbing possibility a 500m (Ferrata Biasini); possibility of nice walks in the nearby woods
