You will feel like you are home sweet home but in the heart of the beautiful city of Chefchaouen. Our home is located in a perfect location in the center of the medina, and a 1 minute walk to the main square of the old town (shops, restaurants, cafes, etc.). There are also (3) brand new air conditioners and heating units installed in the home (1 in each bedroom, and one in the living room) 1ST FLOOR - WELCOME ROOM The first floor is a small space that you enter into when you open the door to the home. It has a place to leave your coats, umbrellas, and shoes. The washing machine is also located on this floor, and guest can have their clothes washed by the housekeeper (please see below for price). 2ND FLOOR - FIRST BEDROOM (with AC & Heat), FULL BATHROOM W/SHOWER On the second floor you will find the first bedroom with a brand new AC & Heater unit. Please see the photos that show a curtain (instead of a door) for privacy as this home was built as an open floor concept. This floor also has the main larger full bathroom that is to be shared with a toilet, shower, and sink. The bedroom and bathroom are separate from each other so it will allow for your privacy for showers/bathroom etc. -Clean Towels -Toilet Paper -Blow Dryer -Soap 3RD FLOOR - KITCHEN & SALON (with AC & Heat) The kitchen/cocina is located on the 3rd floor with everything you could possibly need! -refrigerator & freezer -microwave -gas stove -espresso percolator & french press -plates, silverware, cooking pots/pans, tea pot, water boiler, utensils etc.... The 3rd floor also has a comfy salon with a newly installed air conditioning and heater. It's a great place to relax, have breakfast, and/or a moroccan tagine dinner! 4TH FLOOR - GUEST BEDROOM (with AC & Heat), TERRACE, & 1/2 PRIVATE BATHROOM On the top floor you have the lofted open air guest bedroom with a brand new air conditioner & heat unit. The bedroom has (2) twin beds that can be pushed together to make one large bed. It has a door that leads to a small terrace and then to a private 1/2 bathroom with a toilet and sink. **The bedroom is an open space on the 4th floor (see photos), with steps leading down to the 3rd floor below salon/living room and kitchen. Please do not worry, as It does allow for your privacy as our bedroom is located two floors down. HOUSEKEEPER We take pride in a clean home for our guests and we have a very sweet housekeeper named Hanan that will come every day around 10:30/11am to keep the home clean for all us! She is is also available to wash the guests clothes for 50 dirham/$5/€5 per load. We are happy to be as much a part of your stay in Chefchaouen as you would like! We absolutely love meeting new people from around the world and showing them all this MAGNIFICENT city has to offer. We also are happy to give you as much space as you would like and be available when needed! Things we can also offer around Chefchaouen: Recommendations - best places to eat & buy moroccan souvenirs: carpets, djellaba, blankets, lighting fixtures, tagines, argan oil, tea, spices, etc. Guided Chefchouen Blue City Tour: 2/3 hr guided tour to see all of the old medina including the perfect spots for great photos of everything blue :), small waterfall where local women wash the clothes, large main mosque in center square, spanish mosque with amazing views overlooking the whole city (recommended during sunset), and did we mention all the cute cats?! - Day Trip to Akchour - taxi ride & 3 hr guided hike to Akchour (waterfall, monkeys, Door of the God). How to Cook Moroccan Tagine - Mohammed loves to cook and is available to teach you how to cook and enjoy your very own moroccan tagine dinner! - Mountain & Farm Trip: There many options to take guided hike or car to see the local farms. You can see how everything is grown and produced from the surrounding Rif mountains. *see photos & ask about special low prices for our guests* PUBLIC TRANSPORT - BUS/TAXIS There is a bus station in Chefchaouen, so it is is very easy to get to by public transport (bus OR taxi). DRIVING If you are driving, no worries at all here! There are several places to park that are within just a few minutes (2-3) walking distance. We can recommend the best ones that are not expensive and close to the house when you arrive! GETTING AROUND CHAOUEN Chaouen is a city that you want to explore by walking around. There are taxis that we recommend taking to and from the bus station for 15 dirhams/$1.50/€1.50. Please leave your shoes in the 1st floor space, and we will have sandals/slippers for you to use that will be cleaned by the housekeeper for each stay.
