Retreat Cabin - Mudgeeraba Hinterland

Come and Retreat yourself in nature. This cabin is fully self contained. It has a spacious dreamlike king sized bedroom. Set on the foothills of the Gold Coast Hinterland, this amazing retreat is just 8 minutes to shops, cinemas & restaurants, 15 minutes to the beach. A perfect getaway! Nestled on 2.5 acres in the valley of Mudgeeraba, you will have glorious glimpses of the subtropical rainforest and Springbrook Mountain. The retreat cabin has a luxurious hand crafted king size bed in a spacious bedroom full of natural light and large windows to awaken you to the magical mornings of nature. Enjoy a captivating rustic lounge and dining room finished in hardwood floor. There is a sofa that can be converted into a double bed for the extra guests. Meal facilities are in an open undercover area, complete with hotplate, microwave & fridge. You can even stay outdoors and enjoy your meal but if you prefer to dine inside there is a spacious rustic dinner table made of recycled timber from some of the first houses built in Sunnybank! You get your very own verandah where you can relax, greet the native birds, or by night spot a falling star! The heated outdoor shower and bath overlook onto the private garden, it also contains a separate toilet. How amazing is it to bathe secluded by foliage on a hot summer's day! On the property there is one main cottage and the retreat cabin. The retreat is quite private as it set on the hilltop of the sloping property to captivate the views of the mountains ahead. We live on the property, in the main cottage, and you are welcome to use any of the facilities of our place, e.g the indoor bathroom or the BBQ on the deck. The property is on a slope and you can drive up the driveway and park onsite near our house. You are also welcome to wander around the property and check out the views. We have chickens! Hopefully they'll be laying enough eggs that you may enjoy free range happy chicken eggs :) We live in the main house and interaction can be as little or as much as you desire. We love meeting new people and we'll usually greet you and show you around. Once you get settled in we'll leave you to your own peace of mind, but don't hesitate to ask if you need anything. Mudgeeraba is a pretty little village, with local cafés, bakeries and shops. It has every thing you need at hand. Every Saturday morning enjoy our Farmer's Markets with local produce. Mudgeeraba is close to diverse attractions like Springbrook rainforest, unspoilt bush provides a popular destination for bush walking, picnicking, and exploring waterfalls and swimming holes. With the best of both worlds it is also close to the fun filled theme parks and white sandy beaches of Surfers Paradise. From the retreat it is recommended that travellers have their own transport to get around. We don't have public transport close to us. Bike riding is enjoyable in the area and it is close enough to ride your bike to local shops (3kms each way) Please note that this space is very unique and fun, but not for everyone. Being in the country the birdlife will occasionally make a little noise in the morning and the sloping land is a little difficult for some travellers. At this stage the retreat cabin does not have air conditioning. It can get hot during the day but it cools off nicely at night. For most guests, this is not a big deal since they spend most of the day out. But please keep this in mind when booking your stay.
