The totally self contained apartment is one of four in this recently refurbished block in the centre of the charming Highland Village of Beauly. The main door to the building is accessed contactlessly by an electronic key pad and the suite itself by a key in the key safe by your own private door. We maintain the highest standards of cleaning and sanitising and you will find a sanitising station as soon as you enter the building. There will be sanitiser within your own private apartment. Named after the county of Ross - one of four counties the iconic North Coast 500 route passes through this is an ideal base for touring the wonderful Highlands of Scotland. Decorated to reflect the famed sandy beeches and crystal clear blue waters of the county you will love this bright and cheerful suite. The small integrated kitchen has a fridge with freezer box, microwave, kettle and two hobs (hot plates). This is a self contained suite within a block of 4. You have exclusive access to all parts of the apartment as detailed in the listing. You can access your home contact free, using the keypad at the front entrance and the keysafe at the door to your apartment. Your hosts are very happy to correspond prior to your visit and give recommendations of where to visit, things to see or places to eat. They are also available to speak to you by phone, or in person, when visiting, but we leave that up to you Beauly is a lovely little village in the Scottish Highlands. In years past it was on the main route from Inverness to the far North and West of the Highlands but once the new A9 was built with the spectacular Kessock Bridge taking cars over the Beauly Firth it became a much quieter and more peaceful location. But for a small village it offers the visitor a lot to see and do. The historic priory ruins date back to the early 13th century. It has a large square with many traditional buildings and the remains of an ancient market cross still standing. There is also a memorial to the Lovat scouts. But if history is not your thing there are plenty of other attractions. Boasting a butcher, a baker and a delicatessen as well as number of cafes and restaurants you won't go hungry or thirsty. And there are a selection of independently owned shops offering everything from Highland tweeds to antique silver. We also have two award winning gift shops. There are enjoyable walks and cycle routes around the village and further afield. Most of our guests arrive by car and there is free parking close to the apartment. We don't have dedicated parking spaces but there is always parking nearby. This is an ideal base for touring the Highlands, near and far. The spectacular West Coast, the Isle of Skye, our highest mountain Ben Nevis, the monumental Cairngorm mountain range, numerous castles and, of course distilleries are all within an easy day's drive. With a bit of planning you can get to Orkney and back in a day. Or you can visit the famous Glenfinnan viaduct, made famous by Harry Potter. Closer to hand is the spectacular Glen Affric or visit the charming 18th century town of Cromarty for a walk back in time. Your hosts will be delighted to advise on their favourite tours. Beauly has its own train station about 1/2 a mile from the apartment. From there you can get trains to the North and West coasts and to the regional capital Inverness. From Inverness there are options to travel South or East. There is also a bus service to and from Inverness.
