Dartmoor Bell Tent For Two- A Natural Connection

Our Bell tent is situated 6 miles within Dartmoor National Park & hidden in Temperate Rainforest (broad leaf native trees & a rich diversity of flora & fauna) It's only a stone's throw from the cascading waters of Becky Falls so you can listen to its dulcet tones as you drift to sleep On dry evenings, you may be treated to a chorus of Owls & Nightjars who congregate at dusk next to the waterfall Experience the endless majesty of Dartmoor To enable natural reconnection, your bell tent is off grid and has a double bed, side tables, lights, seats, table and a trunk full of essential items to help you reconnect. Shared Compost loo (just add a sprinkling of woodchip) Shared Shower (water heated by you on the firepit) Your own firepit to cook on with a supply of logs. Please bring your own kindling and/or charcoal. Coffee beans and hand grinder Shared simple field kitchen with gas cooker (for emergencies), cool box and freezer packs & water. Outside dining area on a raised deck platform overlooking pond & humungous granite boulders Swing & hammock Help yourself to seasonal wild raspberries and blackberries dotted around the area for you to eat at your pleasure. What more could you need- 'Less is moor' You will have your own space around your bell tent and own fire pit to cook on. All we ask is that you respect the environment. Due to popular demand last year we have set up another bell tent but don't panic you still get your own beautiful private area around your bell tent and fire pit to enjoy. Becky falls, Ancient Woodland Park is next door The Kestor Inn is less than a mile up the road Bovey Tracey is 7 miles away which offers local amenities There are countless walks from the Bell tent that access the surrounding wooded valleys & moorland. We have included a map & a walking guide to offer some further a field walking suggestions in the trunk. We will give you space to enjoy the bell tent and the tranquilly but happy to answer any questions or help if needed. We love where we live and how peaceful and relaxing it is. We live right next to Becky falls and the noise of the waterfall is wonderful. The drive over the moors to us from Bovey Tracey is beautiful and worth a photo! We are excited to be able to share our enthusiasm and love of Dartmoor and where we live with others. You will need a car or a bike to get around. If you're concerned you're not up to the challenge? Don't worry, there will be more guidance available in the bell tent trunk when you arrive. We currently own a dog, 2 cats, chickens, goats & bees. We therefore allow only 1 WELL BEHAVED dog charged at £10 per stay paid in cash on arrival. (We do not accept dogs listed in the dangerous dog act or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa. Please contact me if you are bringing a dog) Please be aware that although you have your own space there may also be other guests in our second bell tent so please keep your dog under control. Be advised; you are effectively in the wild & at night there's an array of wildlife at close proximity. An unfamiliar dog may not be too happy about. There is no electricity at the bell tent however there is a plug socket available nearer the house. You should be able to access 4G at the tent if required. Electric car charging point is available at an additional charge. Please bring your own towels for the shower and any extra blankets you feel you may need. You may want a few camping chairs to sit around the fire. We are happy for a small child to stay and there is room for a travel cot so please contact us for more details regarding this.
