Waterfront Vista Wyuna Bay-just steps to the water

Beachfront with great views of tranquil, picturesque Wyuna bay. 30 steps from the driveway to the beach. Ideal for families or fishing groups. WE WILL REFUND IF YOU CAN'T TRAVEL DUE TO A NZ COVID LEVEL CHANGE (that is beyond your control). We love our 'true kiwi bach', it's the kind of place to sit back, unplug, relax and make great kiwi holiday memories. The place has been recently refreshed with a fresh ‘lick of paint’ both inside and outside and some new couches to enjoy the view or the new TV. The new insect screens, keep the view and let the air in on those hot balmy nights. Meters from the beach; safe to swim, paddle and launch the boat. Watch the kids play on the beach or dive from the pontoon while reading a book curled up on the couch, or out on one of the decks enjoying a drink. The ever changing water and hillside vista and the novelty of watching the tidal 'going on's' in the bay are the ultimate time thief. We love to play 'spot the' : Tui, Kereru (Wood Pidgeon), Ruru (Morepork), Quail, Sea birds, butterflies, bunnies, the odd pheasant.... and all the other wildlife that call the bay home There are two spacious bedrooms (one with a King bed and one with a Queen bed) plus a small bunk room (4 single beds - bunks) for kids and adults. The King room, Queen room, dining room, living area, lounge and two front decks all have views of the bay. Fully self-contained, the house has everything you would need for the short weekend away or longer escapes. With the boat ramp directly opposite the driveway, launching couldn’t be easier. At the end of a good days fishing there is heaps of space to tidy up the gear, and use the fish bench to prep the catch for the smoke house or BBQ. Gamesroom: Table tennis, Foosball and darts available in the large garage. Open the garage doors and enjoy the view while you play (currently no internal access). 4 Kayaks available, including Adult and Kids life jackets. 7 minutes drive to Coromandel Town. Visit the shops, supermarket, cafes, and restaurants and explore what the local area has to offer. Included in your stay is hotel quality linen and towels for all agreed guests - just bring your beach towels. We also attempt to provide enough information and essentials (tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt, pepper, washing powders, toiletries .....) to get your stay started. The cleaning fee covers the hotel quality linen AND an intensive clean between guests. This is very important to us, as you can see from our reviews. It is also important to us that our lovely caretaker receives more than a living wage. We include a small welcome gift, our way of sharing some of our favourite local things and to say “Thanks” for choosing to stay with us......We really hope you enjoy our place as much as we do. The bay is tidal, making launch and retrieve more challenging an hour either side of low tide, but if you have a 4-wheel drive, there is a 'locals' way of launching and retrieving over this time which we are happy to let you know. We are a keen fishing family, please just ask about possible fishing and boating adventures. As we have done with all guests during the pandemic, for NZ residents should you be unable to travel to the Bach as a result of Covid level travel restrictions we will work with you to refund your stay. For overseas residents, we would love to have you come and stay but we are sorry at this time we cannot provide this full refund guarantee, currently there are too many governments involved and too high a risk at this stage of not being able to rebook the nights at very short notice. For overseas residents we will happily refund (those whose travel and stay is impacted by covid level changes) IF we are able to rebook the nights impacted. Please note, as hosts we cannot make a decision on refund of the Service Fee portion of your payment, the refund of this is determined by the HomeAway platform. Excessive use of water - beyond the completely reasonable budgeted amount- may require an additional water cartage charge to refill the tank. While we drink the tank water, please bring bottled water if preferred. Wifi IS available, but is NOT usually unlimited (as this infrastructure is not yet available in Wyuna Bay. Please avoid streaming of TV or Utube. Unplug, sit back and enjoy the view or select a book or DVD. Wyuna Bay is tidal (similar to most bays on the Coromandel). 4WD boat launching is possible in all tides, just ask. The kitchen does NOT have a dishwasher at this time, there is however plenty of space to air dry washed dishes on the bench. All bunk beds are steel and adult rated to 130kg. There is a separate beer and bait fridge/freezer in the laundry as well as a large side by side fridge/freezer in the kitchen (for supplies - please no bait in here). The kitchen has a Nespresso coffee machine - Please BYO Nespresso Pods. There is no internal access to the garage. Cleaning and linen fees are required. This includes hotel quality sheets and bath towels for all agreed guests (just bring your beach towels). Your tenancy is for the agreed number of guests. Please enquire about additional guests before they stay, as linen will be provided for the agreed number of guests. Please inform us of any damage found at the property on entry or of any damage during the time of your stay.
