Unique B&B bus with pool, 10 mins to Carcassonne

Experience our London double decker bus, which provides beds for 8 people: 6 on the upper deck including a separate double bedroom and a twin bedroom downstairs, where you also have a spacious lounge. The bus has a TV on each deck, air con and bathrooms next to the bus. We are always here to help and offer breakfast for a supplement. Carcassonne is just 10 mins by car. Our village is a 20 min walk through the vines, or you can just relax by our pool and trampoline set in 4 acres of grounds. We moved to France in 2003 and have been providing gites, B&B and other novel experiences (e.g. yurts) for guests over the years, whilst we brought up the family. Last year we imported a London double decker bus, fresh out of service. She has now been transformed to a wonderful living space including 3 sleeping areas, a lounge and is equipped with reversible air conditioning, TVs and a Nespresso machine. We are always around to help out with places to visit and the best eateries, as our house is on site. We can also deliver a breakfast basket to you each morning for a EUR 10 supplement per person, which proved very popular when we were running the yurt experience. We have a very large private parking area, Wifi and plenty of fun and games in the 4 acre garden, including our pool and trampoline. You will also have seating outside for an aperitif, a fridge and microwave in the bathrooms and the pool has several loungers and parasols. Whilst you stay you will be able to use the bus and bathrooms as and when you need them. The pool, trampoline and grounds will also be available and we are always here to help with any other things you may need. We are always here to help, as we live in the same grounds and can give you great tips regarding the best places to visit, beaches, restaurants and hidden gems. We are very lucky to live in an area where you can access pretty much anything you need in an hour. Narbonne plage, Toulouse, Perpignan, the Spanish border, Pyrenhees are all an hour away. Closer to home, you can get to Carcassonne in 10 minutes, including the stunning walled medieval Cite. Lastours, with its three castle ruins and breathtaking walk are also just 10 minutes away. For cycling or ramblers our location is perfect, nestled at the foot of the Black Mountains, with rivers, waterfalls and idyllic villages. You can walk to our village through the country lanes and vineyards in around 25 minutes and there are all amenities, including Post Office, hair dressers, bakery, bar/restaurant, pizzeria and excellent local shop. There are also a range of shops and supermarkets just 5 minutes' drive away from us and the Canal du Midi is 5 minutes too. In Carcassonne you will find the airport with extensive RyanAir flights to Stansted, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Manchester, Cork, Dublin, Brussels and Porto. There is also a train station and Toulouse international airport is just over an hour away. If you want to stay closer to home you can walk from the doorstep to the National forests of Conques and Villegly, where you will find amazing walking and cycling routes, lakes, gorges and wonderful views.
