Totally renovated little village house
The house is in a medieval village chronicled by Leonardo da Vinci who researched the Val di Riso, his original documents are held in the Library at Windsor Castle. Oneta is a cobbled village, beautifully restored, proud of it's mining history which is reflected by the statues and fountains around the village. In the centre of the village with a large terrace overlooking the street, the balcony with the view of the mountains. Old as the Church with high ceilings and completely renovated. The local Town hall have dug up the road and sorted the storm drainage problem that infiltrated our house and the house has been renovated and the furniture replaced. The house is in the centre of the village with a terrace in the front. It comprises of 2 bedrooms - an upstairs shower room and a downstairs cloak room. The lounge/kitchen diner is on the ground floor. This is an ideal base for exploring the region and walking in the surrounding mountains - you could receive a visit from our pot bellied pig and the cat! There is Natascia who lives at the back - you go under the the arch at the end of the terrance and follow the lane to some steps leading up - on your left is a house and that is where Natascia lives on the first floor. This is a very pretty little village with a local store where you can buy almost everything including bread. At the bottom of the mountain in Ponte Nossa there are various very good food shops as well as an amazing bakery and a pharmacy. There is also a pizza restaurant. Further up the mountain there is a sanctuary at Frassino which also has a restaurant. Clusone is the nearest big town with many restaurants and a very good weekly market. There is also a small bar at the back of the Church in the Oratoro There is no allocated parking but there are spaces close to the house which is in a small road leading down to the Church and the local store. There is no allocated parking but there is always parking underneath the outside terrace as well as in front of the fountain a minutes walk away.
