Nessie’s View is a beautiful one bedroom contemporary barn conversion. Nestled in the heart of the Great Glen with panoramic views overlooking Loch Ness and the mountains beyond. This property is one of seven cottages set in private grounds. Unique and individual, restored with the romance style and luxury of a charming cosy Highland retreat. Perfectly located a short walking distance from the village of Drumnadrochit , with it’s pretty village green, surrounding pubs, shops and restaurants. Nessie’s view is part of a converted Mill consisting of 7 cottages, surrounded by farmland on a sunny south facing hill with far reaching views of Loch Ness. If you are travelling by train , bus or car it is ideally situated for a couple wanting that romantic break or time to relax away from home. The sunny lounge/ kitchen area has been newly refurbished in an Open Plan contemporary style. The kitchen has a large oak central breakfast bar and seating area, with newly fitted appliances including induction hob, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washer/dryer. All other kitchen accessories to meet your culinary needs. Essential Teapot and cafetiere for that welcome drink on arrival!!! In the corner of the kitchen there is a window seat to relax and enjoy the views and beautiful countryside. The lounge has a luxurious Velvet Chaise Longue Settee and sofa bed which will comfortably sleep two additional people if required . Large flat screen TV. CD player and Wi-Fi. Upstairs you will find a spacious sunny bedroom with a large comfortable king-size bed. All bedding is provided. The room is furnished with bedside lights, radio alarm clock and TV . There is a large glass door leading onto a balcony with wonderful views over Loch Ness where you can sit and enjoy an early morning cup of tea or relax under the starry sky with a late night glass of wine! There is a private drive and parking immediately outside the property. Communal gardens, seating areas and barbecue facilities. Nessie’s View is a 15/20 minute walk from the village of Drumnadrochit or a 4 minute drive. There is a good car park in the centre, near the cafes and restaurants. Variety of gift shops, chemist and co-op supermarket for stocking up on all those essential items!! Our co-host Sy will be managing the property for us and will endeavour to meet you at the property on arrival when possible. There is a also key box system available for self check in and on these occasions Sy or ourselves will be contactable by phone to answer any of your questions. Nessie,s View is well located, within walking distance of Loch Ness visitors centre and other attractions. Jacobite cruises run daily boat trips to Inverness, Fort Augustus through to the Caladonian Canal. Or experience Nessie watching on a Boat trip tour of Loch Ness!! Drumnadrochit is renown for its spectacular walks along the banks of Loch Ness to the beautiful ruins of the medieval Urquhart Castle. 30 minutes drive from the City of Inverness and 2 hours drive to Skye this property is perfectly located to explore the Highlands of Scotland. The area offers many outdoor activities. Biking, golfing or walking along the forest trails of the Great Glen Way, fishing or kayaking on the rivers and lochs, with fantastic opportunities for photography, of the many different birds and wildlife you will encounter within the dramatic scenery of the Scottish Highlands. In the village the speciality sea food restaurant, The Lewiston, LockNess Inn is well worth a visit, famous for its good food and brewery bar, the Ben Lever pub and Fiddlers Bar offer the best of Scottish Malt Whiskies and Cafe 82 is a must visit wee cafe/restaurant with a great menu that includes a selection of Vegetarian and Vegan dishes. Drumnadrochit is 40 minutes drive from Inverness airport and train station. Transport links are good and a car is not essential to enjoy a stay at Nessie's View. There is a regular bus service from Inverness to the village of Drumnadrochit. Coach and local buses run daily to The Isle of Skye, Fort William and Ben Nevis and travel on through the majestic scenery of Glen Coe to Glasgow and Edinburgh.
