This large four bedroom lodge is pure indulgence and more. This magnificent lodge was architect designed and built and includes a kangaroo/bird feeder with plenty of food supplied ensuring an abundance of wildlife to enjoy from 3 different decks including kangaroos, wallabies, goannas, parrots, eagles and other bird species with incredible photo opportunities. The lodge also has two mountain bikes and fishing rods for the enthusiasts wanting to explore the many trails and lagoons on the 1000+ acres where our lodge is situated. OTHER FEATURES: Valley View Luxury retreat offers the most beautiful lodge with ‘that special extra’. It has its own dedicated games room complete with a full-size billiard table for your enjoyment. A cupboard is filled with puzzles and games. Hammock on one deck to relax and snooze. We pride ourselves on being a retreat that has thought of everything. A fully equipped kitchen with full size oven and stove top and a large fridge with freezer. Ample cooking equipment with microwave and we provide many condiments other places lack including salt and pepper grinders, sauces, olive and cooking oils and other essentials like foil, baking paper and glad l-wrap, Kitchen Aid Nespresso coffee pod machine (complete with many varieties of coffees and twining teas) and serviettes. On deck There are huge bins of food for the roos and the wild birds and you will absolutely love feeding the natives by hand. The lounge area has a 65 inch smart TV with DVD and many movies to choose from. The large Leather lounges are so comfy and there are also two leather recliners - one with assist for older guests with mobility problems. Satellite Internet is available by request. Candles sit throughout the house to add instant fragrance and ambience and incense sticks are also available. There are two bathrooms, one newly renovated with a 2 person spa bath. You are welcomed with a bottle of chilled sparkling wine, specialty cheese and biscuits on and a gift hamper of our handmade Belgian chocolates and other gourmet goodies adds to the charm. The two master bedrooms have kingsize beds. The other two bedrooms have a double and single in each. One has a single lounger that converts to an additional single full size bed and there is also a rollaway bed with a good mattress on it. Beds are incrediblly comfortable and they have feather mattress toppers. All the beds are fitted with electric blankets and luxurious 1500 thread count linen and new doonas. All guests receive king size towels, hand towels and face cloths with extra towels provided for spa use. Outside is a luxury heated SPA for 6 adults under it's own private enclosure. The spa has its own ice bucket built in. One deck has a gas BBQ complete with dining setting for 8 for enjoying an Aussie BBQ. There is a small outdoor coal fired pizza oven on this deck (coal provided) for perfect 10 inch pizzas in 5-6 minutes. There is a second electric benchtop pizza oven in the kitchen for larger groups who are impatient to eat! We can provide handmade gourmet pizzas at request for extra cost. These are made from scratch. Additional deck has an 8 seater lounge setting for relaxing and drinking in the stunning view. There is a laundry under the house complete with washing machine and dryer and washing powder supplied. A double hammock hangs from its own frame on the third verandah. Valley View is furnished to 5-star quality throughout. We offer an early check in (if no guests are booked prior) at 1pm or earlier for a few and a late check out up to 11am or later for a fee (again depending on bookings coming in). We are also happy to offer a third night for a discounted rate. Housed within the EagleReach wilderness resort, guests can take a short walk to the main complex where there is an outdoor gym, pool, tennis courts and reception area. A pond full of yabbies provides fun for the kids (you can buy bait at the reception or make your own) and abundant bushwalking tracks to explore the 1000+ acres. There is a lake with jetty filled with trout that you can fish for (we provide 2 fishing rods and two pushbikes). Childrens playground, gas barbeques, fishing ponds, picnic areas, and 4WD tracks. Many great eating opportunities in the local surrounds. 40 minute drive to the Hunter Valley Wineries or you can arrange for bus companies to pick you up from our lodge for half or full day tours so you dont have to worry about driving. We live close to the lodge but you have full privacy. Anything you need we can organise. There is a masseuse who will even come up to the lodge if you wish to book this luxury., We can provide pizzas at cost and also comprehensive brekkie packs - For $45 we offer 2 cereal choices, 500 grams butter, 2 litres milk, 2 litres juice, large tub yogurt, loaf of bread, 1 dozen eggs from our farm and 1 kg bacon. For $55 we can add an additional kg bacon and another dozen eggs. On arrival all guests are greeted with champagne, cheese, biscuits and a hamper of our handmade Belgian chocolates and gourmet jams. The property is 2.5 hours north of Sydney, conveniently located 12 km from Vacy and near the historic town of Paterson and Gresford wineries and 45 minutes from the wineries at Pokolbin. Valley View is a privately owned and operated luxury lodge situated within the over 1000 acre Eagle Reach Wilderness Resort. Guests may dine in, visit the local restaurant (pre bookings essential for weekend dining and we can arrange this prior to your arrival) or the Flying Duck cafe in Vacy or other restaurants in Maitland. Many companies offer shuttle bus pick up and drop offs to your door if you want to spend a day in the Hunter Valley wine tasting. We provide a list of those recommended by other guests. Visit the historic Maitland and Morpeth for a great day out or simply relax and drink in the incredible view as we are metres from the mountain's edge. As we atop Mt. George, you will need your own vehicle or as mentioned shuttle buses will pick up and drop back for tours. Valley View does not allow pets. Due to the abundant wildlife and a couple of bad experiences we have made the decision for this to be a place for people to enjoy nature at its best. WE DO NOT ALLOW PARTIES AT ALL - We have had bad experiences where our place has been mistreated and any party discovered will incur automatic forfeit of refundable security deposit. Refundable security deposit is $400 for 1-4 guests and $800 for 5 or more guests. Spa rules must be strictly adhered to or a fee will be incurred. Extra guests not paid for will be charged accordingly. Please be honest at time of booking or confirm if extras are in your party to avoid extra person fees.
