A secluded two bedroom private cottage on a heritage property. 2 minutes drive or a pleasant stroll to Warrandyte village and 40 minutes from Melbourne CBD. Located in Melbourne's Valley of the Arts Warrandyte, just 25kms from Melbourne's CBD, the cottage is the original caretaker’s residence for a turn of the century homestead, located off a secluded road leading from the Yarra River and adjacent to the State Forest. The cottage has privacy and seclusion. You can lose yourself in the 10 acres of gardens and farm and find a spot to just sit and relax or walk in the adjacent state forest among towering gum trees or through deep fern gullies. Guests can enjoy the tennis court and swimming pool. Venture down to Warrandyte for a bite to eat at one of the quality restaurants which overlook the river. The cottage is the original caretakers cottage to the homestead where we live so we're on site and available should the guests have any questions. Warrandyte’s “village” atmosphere is well known for its craft shops, art galleries and wood fired bakery. An open air market featuring high quality local produce and handicrafts is held monthly. Local wineries are close by and the popular Yarra Valley vineyards are just 15 minutes drive away. The cottage is not suitable for children or parties and events.
