Bundeena Beach House
Bundeena Beach House is special because of its amazing location. Set right on Litttle Gunyah Beach, it is one of Bundeena's original fishing huts that has been lovingly restored. Full of natural light, with 2-bedrooms (1xKing & 1xQueen) both with en-suites Bundeena Beach House is relaxed, comfortable and a perfect place to escape the world. Facing north across the sparkling waters of Port Hacking, it is one of the best spots in Bundeena to enjoy Port Hacking & explore The Royal National Park. As our guest you will have sole access to the property. We maintain the upper house for private family use, but we generally do not stay when we have guests - occasionally we may be upstairs and I will always let you know, however we will not disturb you and it is all yours to enjoy with amazing isolation and privacy. From the garage to the entrance, there are approximately 35 steps to reach the front door; for guests with limited mobility access is difficult. Once you arrve and settle in, there is really no reason to leave until you go. Bundeena Beach House has a full kitchen (it is well equipped with 2 new ovens, a dishwasher, microwave, large fridge and nespresso machine), a combined sitting and dining room (with oversized linen sofa, television & dvd player) and bifold doors which open across the full width of the room to a covered deck directly above the beach. It feels like you are on a boat. Accommodation is 2 bedrooms both with storage and ensuites. The main guest bedroom (King bed) opens up to the sitting area and has views to the beach. The second guest room (Queen bed) with ensuite is located in 'The Shack', a stand-alone cottage, which may possibly be the best bedroom in the world! Next to the kitchen is a covered BBQ deck area with outdoor table, bench seats and a well used and much-loved bbq. Bring your favourite foods, and this becomes the best restaurant in Bundeena. We have recently renovated and we have a full laundry (large new washing machine and dryer) for your personal use and convenience. Bundeena is approximately an hour from Sydney airport. It takes 40 minutes to reach the National Park entrance, and it is a lovely 20 minute drive through the park to reach Bundeena. The garage will be open for you to park on arrival and during your stay, you will have total privacy at Bundeena Beach House. We keep the upper level of the house for private family use, however we do not stay when we have guests, so that you can have this wonderful space all to yourself. From the garage, follow the steps through the upper garden and down the LEFT side of the house, to arrive at the outdoor dining area and front door. There are then some steps down to the Shack and the beach. Outdoor chairs and 2 paddleboards are provided. The house will be open and ready for your arrival from 2pm on the day of your confirmed booking. Check out is 2pm. We ask that as you leave, please close the bifold doors, the windows and the front door, placing the SHACK key on the kitchen bench and pulling the door firmly behind you - thank you. Occasionally we may be staying upstairs, however your time at Bundeena Beach House is completely yours to enjoy in privacy & we will not disturb you. I have listed our favourite local eateries, walks and sights in our Airbnb Guest Book for your convenience. There are not many options to 'eat out' in Bundeena. Arriving with some of your favourite foods to eat on the beach or bbq is our recommendation, as once you settle in, it is pretty hard to leave. The village IGA is an easy walk along the beach or road towards the ferry, where you can find fresh bread, hot bbq chickens and a selection of beer and wine in addition to all of the basics. The Bundeena Community Club offers a family-friendly and relaxed environment for an easy dinner if you would prefer not to cook - the schnitzel is crispy, the beer is cold and everyone feels welcome.
