l'atelier - a little gem set among the vines

Newly converted 2020 : l'Atelier is the perfect base for a couple looking to explore the vineyards and countryside of the beautiful Gironde, Lot et Garonne and Dordogne. You will love its peaceful backwater location, your private courtyard with splash pool, dining and sunbathing terrace and lounge area and the thoughtful touches and attention to detail we have put in place for our guests. Enter the property through the small but perfectly formed kitchen, you will then find the entirety of the first floor is an airy studio bedroom-cum-lounge with a well-appointed shower room off. Enjoy the views across the surrounding vines and woodland, the birdsong and the clean fresh air. Privacy, relaxation and comfort are the watchwords of your holiday at l'Atelier. With a successful family sized gite project behind us we have put our experience and creativity into l’Atelier. Our holiday makers are not backwards in telling us what they like and we have done our best to recreate a very special space for your precious holidays – this time just for two. We love to share our restaurant recommendations and tips for things to do and see. We’re happy to make arrangements for you when needed – from birthday cakes to vineyard tours, bicycle hire to filling your fridge for your arrival – we love to make the difference between a good stay and a great one. Our guests have told us they arrive with intentions to fully explore the area, only to find themselves unaccountably struggling to tear themselves away from the delightfully relaxing environment of l’Atelier. Thinking about the bike rides or walks from the front door, an indulgent outside dining and lounging area, splash pool, barbecue and well equipped kitchen, good wifi, a selection of books, games and DVDs and UK satellite TV we consider the lapse quite understandable. Perhaps something to bear in mind when considering how long to book for. We are ten minutes from Monségur, a lovely bastide town with bars, restaurants, a weekly market, a summer night market, a cinema and annual music festival. Duras with its superb chateau, bustling restaurants and bars and summer activities is the same distance in the opposite direction. The wine enthusiast will be spoilt for vineyards to tour, wines to taste and of course, World Heritage site, Saint-Emilion just 40 minutes by car.
