Cervo is an Italian municipality in the province of Imperia. Located near the final stretch of the "Cervo" stream, it gently slopes down to the Ligurian Sea and is the first municipality in the renowned Riviera dei Fiori. On the churchyard stage of the International Chamber Music Festival of Cervo, dominated by the soft pastel colors and the Rococo stuccos of the façade of the Church of St. Giovanni Battista, they have played all the greats of classical international music and not just the stars of our house. Among the latter, we recall, however, Uto Ughi, Benedetto Michelangeli, Salvatore Accardo and Severino Gazzelloni. Over the years, the relationship between Cervo and music has become closer and more fruitful, also thanks to other satellite festivals dedicated to specific instruments and musical genres. The Summer Academy held at the end of August, draws hundreds of young musicians from all over the world for almost twenty years.
