Vista Muntanya, superb apartment, private pool !!

The apartment Vista Muntanya is quite unique with its privileged position in the old part of Eus (one of the "plus beaux villages de France"). Eus was formerly fortified around a castle, now the site of the impressive 18th-century church of Saint-Vincent-d'en-Haut. The ground floor flat has exclusive use of the gardens, terraces and swimming pool, with breathtaking views over the Tet valley to the often snow capped Mt Canigou. Eus is (arguably) the sunniest village in France! Free Wifi. Vista Muntanya is a ground floor apartment in an old village house. There are 3 bedrooms, a family bathroom, shower room and 2 separate WCs. We can also use a very comfortable day bed that converts to a double bed. The living area is all open plan with a well equipped kitchen, large dining area and a comfortable sitting area with a TV. Outside there are 2 terraces, one, covered with vines that produce the sweetest grapes, is directly out of the patio doors from the dining area, and another along from the apartment overlooking the swimming pool and the mountains. This area is where we have the gas barbecue and a sink, ideal for summer dining. The private swimming pool has Roman steps and is 10m x 5m, the depth ranges from 1m - 2.2m. The pool area is protected with a gate with a childproof lock. On the terrace surrounding the pool area there are a number of sunloungers, reclining chairs, deck chairs, side tables and huge parasols. Next to the pool is a changing room where you will find a handy fridge for cool drinks, some pool and beach toys and another WC. The pool is open from towards the end of May until towards the end of September, please ask for exact dates if you want to reserve at these times. Guests will have access to the whole apartment, the apartment above will NEVER be used during your stay. Our Concierge lives locally and will be available to help before, during and after your stay. The apartment is 20m from a village square and a small Bistro de Pays, this is a favourite place for locals and visitors to have lunch or sit on an evening take aperitifs and put the world to rights. The village also has another great restaurant, 5 minutes walk from the apartment. If you explore the delightful little cobbled streets you will find lots of small artist studios, workshops and dozens of places for a photo call. Vista Muntanya is in a truly tranquil spot with only the sound of the birds to break the silence. We strongly advise having a car to enable you to get the most pleasure from the area. If you don't want to travel too far the nearest town is Prades less than 10 minutes drive, where you can catch a bus or train and make use of the subsidised travel in the area (only 1 euro per person per journey)! For an exciting day out you can take the Little Yellow Train up in to the high Pyrenees (from Villefranche de Conflent). The village of Eus is predominantly pedestrianised cobbled streets and parking is in car parks around the village. Parking is free.
