The Lizard village is the most southerly village on mainland Britain and boasts terrific scenery and wildlife, including the famous Cornish Chough. There is a regular bus service to and from the main town of Helston, 10 miles away. But a car is best if you want to explore the more secluded areas. Of course, there is a lot you can do on foot.
