Opening straight onto the Foreshore Park, grab the picnic basket and explore the park, Newcastle Beach, the Ocean Baths, Nobby’s Beach, the historic Fort Scratchley and all the action of a busy working harbour. Furnished with original and authentic classics from Charles and Ray Eames, Pierro Lissoni, Isamu Noguchi, Phillipe Starck, EOOS and Bouroullec for Knoll, Vitra, Herman Miller, Kartell and van Treight. You will delight in their beauty, while appreciating the easy comfort of their design genius. Completing the feeling that you have your own private but welcoming gallery, the 2-foot-thick warehouse walls are hung with dozens of original artworks – many of which are available for purchase. Ideal for active families, right outside your door are kilometres of skating, cycling, walking and running, sprawling acres to fly kites or kick a ball, and a children’s playground only 80 metres across the lawn. All with the opportunity to cook up a feast in the full-size, seriously well-equipped, kitchen. Or if you’ve heard the whispers – Wow, Newcastle has changed! – you’ll come stay with a group of friends for the edgiest restaurants and cafes, coolest bars and most sessionable craft brewhouses, all within easy walking distance from The Bond Store. On-street parking is available at an additional cost, as per the parking meter (tariff's are subject to change). Please note it's a 50m walk from the street to your unit and there is a flight of stairs on the way, so The Old Bond Store is better suited to those with good mobility. If mobility is a problem, please let us know and where possible help transporting luggage can be arranged. The unit itself is all ground level though.
