Cottage

Our lovely cottage is available to rent for a week at a time, Saturday to Saturday. We have great views over the Quantock hills and the West Somerset Steam Railway. There is also a beautiful 2 mile walk along the Mineral Line to the harbour of Watchet where there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes where you can sample Somerset cider, ice cream or just to view boats on the marina. The cottage has an open plan kitchen and living area. With a large double bedroom with ensuite and a single bedroom and family bathroom with a bath. It also has a balcony to enjoy breakfast on and admire the views. The property is set within 2 acres of gardens. The cottage is accessible through its own private front door and has a disabled ramp. We have a house next to the cottage and are available for advise and to give tips on places to go in the area. Washford is a village with a small first school, church, post office and 2 pubs with in walking distance. The ruins of Cleeve Abbey and the old 'Mineral Line' are all within a 5 minute walk in addition to Tropiquaria Theme park only half a miles away. You can walk the 2 miles to Watchet harbour or catch the steam train in the village, which goes to Minehead and Bishops lydeard. The bus service also goes through the village and goes to Minehead, Dunster, Watchet, and Taunton. For a rural location we are very well connected. PLEASE NOTE. We hire our cottage for a week at a time, Saturday to Saturday for a 20% discount but minimum stay is for 3 days. If you are bringing young children they are very welcome. Please be aware that we do have a river running round the property.
