Chocolate box cottage in Devon
Our lovely, quirky 4 bed family home is situated in the beautiful village of Drewsteignton. We have a huge garden (fantastic for kids) and some of the most amazing walks, Castle Drogo, fab pub, restaurant and wild swimming all within walking distance. Our gorgeous family has 4 double bedrooms (with mattresses under the bed in two of the rooms). There are 3 family bathrooms and a downstairs toilet. There is a cosy lounge (with wood burner) and another family room (with TV) / 5th bedroom with a big comfy sofa bed. The kitchen is the heart of our home and is a lovely space for entertaining. We have a utility room with an extra sink and oven and a big fridge and freezer. Our garden is one of the best things about staying with us. Kids will love it! There is a big trampoline, rope swing and table tennis table. The views are amazing. There is a rose garden and croquet lawn/footie pitch - what ever takes your fancy! We also have a 4 foot mini-ramp in one of the sheds - great for skateboarding or scooter riders. Our kids are now teenagers but we have kept loads of toys, games, books and scooters to keep your kids entertained for the whole stay. Netherton Vine is our home (rather than a holiday home) and we will clear plenty of space for your belongings but we may leave some of our clothes in place. You'll have access to our whole home and garden. Two rooms with big TVs and wifi. Loads of toys, games, books, DVDs, table tennis table, bikes. Our house is your house. There is parking for 4 cars. We will be available via email but will leave the name and number of a neighbour who can assist with enquiries throughout your stay. Drewsteignton is a gorgeous village in the heart of Dartmoor national park but only 12 miles from Exeter. Drewsteignton has a great local pub, an amazing restaurant and a welcoming village shop. You can walk to Fingle Bridge and Castle Drogo and the fabulous fresh water, Chagford outdoor swimming pool, is only 2 miles away. Chagford, voted best place to live by the Sunday Times this year, is 5 miles away and has loads of lovely shops and restaurants and more amazing walks and views. There is so much to do on Dartmoor. Tors, wild swimming, horse riding, prison visit (!), Stone Lane Gardens, art galleries, so many lovely pubs, Belever Forest (magical) and Haldon Forset (great for bike riding). We are 45 mins from Exemouth beach and an hour from the Cornwall coastline.
