You are welcome to walk around the property to take in the views but please don't enter the paddocks or pond area. Please wear suitable footwear. Laundry facilities also available for a small fee. Our house is beside the accommodation unit so we are available for meet and greet most days and for any enquiries you may have. Tom speaks fluent Dutch and Maori. If you would like to feed the animals please let us know. Nestled in peaceful, picturesque surroundings on the north side of Puketutu & Mt William, surrounded by areas of native bush. Only 5 minutes from the motorway and just 500 metres from the exquisite Bracu fine dining restaurant (Normally open Wednesday to Saturday lunch & dinner & Sunday lunch), less than 1 minute drive or 10 minute walk on a quiet country road with stunning views of Simunovich Olive Estate and the Hunua ranges. Just 5 minutes drive to the motorway and Bombay service centre, 10-15 minute drive to Pukekohe, the largest shopping centre in the Franklin district with restaurants, bars, cinema and a Saturday morning market. 10 minute walk from the popular Te Araroa trail, New Zealand's long distance tramping route stretching circa 3,000 km along the length of the country's two main islands from Cape Reinga to Bluff. Approximately 35 minute drive to Auckland airport & 45 minute drive to Auckland city. 35-45 minute walk to the top of Mt William for stunning 360 degree views of Auckland, Hunua Ranges & the Franklin District. Nearby - Hunua Ranges walking tracks, Golf courses, Pukekohe Park for horse racing & car racing (V8's). Venture out to Waiuku township & Awhitu peninsula for a great day sightseeing - visit The Kentish Hotel NZ's oldest licensed hotel for a lovely meal or drink in the garden bar, Glenbrook Vintage Railway, stunning Karioitahi black sand beach, Castaways Resort & Spa, Awhitu Lighthouse and much more .... The guest unit is attached to our large shed which we occasionally need to access but you will not be disturbed. One of our chicken coops is close by so you may hear the occasional clucking (sometimes a little loud when laying) but we do not have a rooster! We have a beehive but it is well away from the guest unit and house.
