My apartment is cosy, warm and near the beach I love meeting new people and learning from other cultures, I believe in the Obuntu philosophy and i have a phrase that always in my mind, i am not able to travel the world but the world will come to me Situated on the beautiful, white sandy mtwapa North Coast Beach, the flat is set in a gated secure and serene community The private room is well planned and consists of a six by six bed capable of sleeping two people, a lounge cum dinning area and a well equipped kitchen. The flat command an excellent view of the local area and nature My place is close to numerous restaurants, nightclubs, and casino for those who enjoy a variety of entertainment in the evening. 15 minutes drive to the Beach and city mall and haller park. It's a simple home away from home, a charming 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of mtwapa , with an awesome view of its environs, here you can live like a local and experience the coastal local lifestyle it's the perfect definition of an authentic homestay and can accommodate business people, backpackers, single, couple as it has all the basic amenities,a comfortable bed, the living room and kitchen are quite spacious. The private room is ensuite the living area is quite spacious with a sliding door to the balcony with has a relaxing atmosphere where you can just relax, High speed Wifi is also available for guest. The private room is quite spacious with inbuilt wardrobes. For the Adrenalin seeking guest there is always an endless list of water sports such as jet-skiing, scuba diving, kite surfing, and banana boating which can be enjoyed. Visit to Mombasa Marine Park The Mombasa Marine National Park provides a stunning selection of marine life on the beautiful coral reef. Snorkeling is the most cost effective way to interact with marine life and is very relaxing with no prior experience required. For those keen to see the spectacular marine life in Mombasa Marine National Park without getting themselves wet then the popular glass bottom boat trips are a must. Boats are available for hire right at the beach Water Sports Enjoy wind surfing, kite surfing, scuba diving, canoeing and jet skiing off the Mombasa beaches. you will learn of the best sports and times. You will need to bring your own gear, or you may hire a board and specialist diving gear. Haller Park (formerly Bamburi Nature Trail) The Haller Park (a nature park) is located within 10 minutes drive distance from my place . This park hosts a variety of wildlife including hippos, giraffe, buffaloes and antelopes as well as smaller mammals and birds. Guests are taken around the Park by expert guides whose knowledge of the Park and its history makes for a fascinating and educational expedition. A highlight of a visit to Haller Park is watching the animals in the Game Sanctuary being fed at 4.00pm everyday Tsavo National Park The Park is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo,crocodile, waterbucks, Lesser Kudu, Gerenuk and Hirola Birds The prolific bird life features 500 recorded species. Bamburi Forest Trail ( Butterfly Farm / Pavilion ) This place is located 15 minutes drive opposite Bamburi Beach Hotel along the Mombasa/Malindi highway and is open from 7:00am to 6:00pm daily. There are 4 nature routes in the Forest Trails for cycling, jogging, walking and fitness. A 3.6 km leisure walk enables the visitor to experience alternating landscapes from empty quarries to lush forest, lakes, streams, palm groves and plantations of indigenous trees. The integrated wetland system provides an enabling environment for the increase of the surrounding biodiversity. Ngomongo Cultural Village Ngomongo Village is situated along the road leading to Five Star Hotels in Shanzu, Mombasa. The village presents a fairly comprehensive look at the ways of life in rural Kenya in an enjoyable manner and without having to go and travel into all the respective rural areas. Ngomongo Village is a miniature reflection of tribal community groundings. Sample their lifestyles and culture in the different tribal huts and catch a real life glimpse of what may have been before "Civilization" set in. A number of traditional huts serving different tribal groundings have been recreated in this theme village. Watch or participate in the traditional food preparation, sample the various local brews and marvel or participate in the tribal dances. Sampling the setting of 11 colorful Kenyan tribes such as the Mkamba - woodcarvers, Luo - fisherman, Rendile, El Molo, Masai and others in their different traditional tribal huts set up in this themed village, portraying their ancestors. Bombolulu Workshops Bombolulu Workshops is a project of the Association for the Physically Disabled in Kenya with four sheltered workshops, a cultural centre and a restaurant. The cultural centre features 8 different homesteads found in various parts of Kenya. A traditional Swahili home and various activities are offered for guests to participate. The workshop include jewelry using items such a bone products, soap stones, brass, beads, copper, wood, semi precious stones, and recycled materials. Also included is a tailoring and wood carving workshops. Enjoy Mombasa Night Life There are a number of popular disco clubs along the North Coast. These clubs play superb music and are always packed to capacity on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. All kinds of music are played here. Doors open early in the evening and don’t close till sunrise. An example would include Sheba, The lounge, Bobs bar, Tapas etc - Some of these clubs are also excellent place to dine out.
