A perfect mix of old and new, the kitchenette offers an air fryer, microwave, dishwasher, tea & coffee facilities, fridge and island bench with USB charging stations for those who like to stay connected. The wood fireplace and reverse-cycle air conditioner will keep you comfortable all year round. Wide sliding glass doors open to a large, covered deck where you can enjoy a refreshing drink while admiring the ancient rainforest vines or cook on the family size Weber BBQ. Two separate bedrooms offer a choice of king or queen size, each with remote control fans and lockable fly screens. The main bedroom with king size bed boasts a spacious en-suite bathroom with luxury walk in shower, floor to ceiling tiles and funky up-cycled fittings. The second bedroom screams wow. With a unique designer wall and queen size floating bed overlooking views of the rainforest you will be happy to rest your head here. A second large bright bathroom with luxury walk in shower, floor to ceiling tiles and stylish fittings adjoins the main living space. The shared spa area has beautiful rustic charm and also houses additional kitchen amenities with hidden laundry facilities. Guests can choose to be greeted or if you prefer complete privacy, Patch has an easy self-check in via key lock-box. Your host lives on the property and can always be contacted to assist with any inquiries. We live on the property, up the hill and far enough away to offer complete privacy. We are more than happy to offer help throughout your stay. Patch lies in the Tweed Valley between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast hinterland where you are spoiled with choice for things to do. Choose to take the 1.5km scenic walk or short bike ride to the end of the road and visit the locally operated cheese factory or wander a little further across the bubbling creek into Burringbar Village to feel the vibe of the buzzing town. Have coffee at Elwoods Café or stroll through Heath’s Old Wares & Collectables where Tom Hanks and Jacinda Ardern chose to browse during their Down Under visits. Eat at Thai@Burringbar from Thursday to Sunday or Mercardo Juarez Mexican restaurant on Friday night when the park comes alive with picnickers. For trail walkers and nature watchers Mooball National Park, Wollumin National Park and Mt Jerusalem National Parks are all situated nearby. If the beach is more your style your feet can be touching sand within a short 10 minute drive. Enjoy the pristine waves at dog-friendly Pottsville, Wooyong or Brunswick Heads beaches. Or if you are up for being entertained and attending a festival is part of your plan the bus pick-up location is only 2.5km away opposite the Mooball pub. A car is recommended to get into town and around. Our local cheese factory - Tweed Valley Whey Farmhouse is within walking distance, just at the end of the road. Platters can be arranged or take a leisurely stroll. Prices will vary according to platter size.
