Country Pub in rural location with high standard of food, picturesque Meifod valley close to the church and lots of walking in the locality to suit all ages and abilities . All double en suites, have a comfortable bed, flat screen tv and tea and coffee making facilities. All our en-suites have a toilet sink and shower. Our Family room has a double bed and two single beds. All of our rooms have space for a cot. The Pickstock family who live locally purchased this property in summer 2017 and set about a full refurbishment , this wonderful old building had been brewery owned for many years previously and was in dire need of a serious financial investment. The works to the main building are now complete (April 2018) and we are now ready to receive our first guests . Our main business interest has traditionally been in fuel distribution and retail , we also operate another food business located on the A5 . The Lazy Kettle cafe was opened in December 2000 and has been operating 7 days a week since. Our Head Chef Jacob Sampson is the youngest Welsh chef ever to be awarded a Rosette and we endeavour to grow his reputation and career here at The Kings Head. The hotel is situated right in the middle of the Village of Meifod, which is in itself right in the heart of the Vyrnwy Valley.
