Foxes Farm is a recently renovated charming 18th century farmhouse with all the comfort of a modern home. Situated in the Bay of Mont St Michel, which is just a short drive away. The gite is set in a small hamlet, just 10 minutes drive from Saint James in Normandy and only five minutes from the Brittany border. A great location for exploring both the countryside and close enough to the towns and cities for shopaholics. The house is part of a 400 year old farm estate consisting of houses and barns. A tranquil retreat perfect for those who want to get away from the stresses of life. Set in glorious countryside with beautiful views yet within easy access to market towns, WW2 American Cemetery, beeches and shopping. Local attractions to discover include Saint James, Beautiful beaches, Brittany American WW2 Cemetery, Ducey, Avranches, Mont St Michel, Pontorson, Saint Hilaire De Harcouet, Dol-de-Bretagne and Fougeres are all within an easy 30 minutes drive. If you are more adventurous 10 minutes away is a hidden treasure of a family theme park called Ange Michel and 15 minutes away is the famous Alligator Bay a great day out for the whole family. If you go further a field you visit the WW2 D-Day landing Beaches, Caen, Beyeux, Granville, Saint Malo, Dinard and Rennes, to name just a few. This is a very versatile location suitable for all your holiday needs, whether it is sight seeing, family fun at the beech or relaxing on the terrace with a glass of wine. The price is ALL INCLUSIVE of, water, electricity, cleaning, internet, English & French TV, linen and bathroom towels. A small amount of wood is supplied for the log burner and more wood can be purchased if necessary direct from the owners, however this is not needed during the summer months. Tourism Tax is payable on arrival in cash and is set by the French Government on all holiday accommodation. The rate for Foxes Farm is €1.16 per adult per night. Occupancy - Four bedrooms sleeps 8 Adults plus we have two cots for babies. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge area. The fourth bedroom is on the ground floor with patio doors leading to the garden area. No smoking within the house - Garden only please Children are welcome Well behaved and house trained dogs are welcome but you MUST Clean up after your pets please, for health and safety reasons. Dogs are not allowed upstairs in the house. Please be responsible and do not leave your dogs unattended for long periods of time Only two dogs are allowed, without prior permission from the owners. It is also situated on a popular cycle route for Mont Saint Michel. All guests have access to the beautiful garden and courtyard. The house is accessed via a private / exclusive driveway. Safety Items included - Smoke detector, Carbon monoxide detector, First aid kit, Fire extinguisher. The managers live in the property next door to this house with two Dalmatian dogs and chickens ( there is no cockerel, so no early morning wake up call) The owners pets are all kept in separate garden areas. There is also a lovely newly planted orchard to explore A travel cot and high chair are available on request for no additional charge. For those staying for more than one week. A change of linen and towels are provided on each Saturday. Beach Towels can be provided for a small charge of 5.00 euro's per towel per week. Guests are not allowed to smoke in the house.
