Traditional cottage with wood-fired sauna+hot tub

Forest of Dean cottage with flag stone floors and open fire. Pet friendly. Small private courtyard with all day sunshine exclusive use of wood-fired sauna, hot tub, BBQ & firepit. Convenient village location with late shops and take-aways but close to forest walks, biking, lakes and sculpture trail The cottage is a great, quiet weekend get away with 2 bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the sitting room. The dining room is furnished in a retro style with a well-equipped galley kitchen. The cottage is funky and unconventional with bedrooms that are themed - birds of paradise, vintage rose and woodland sheepskin. Guests can arrive after 5.00pm on a Friday and need to depart by 12.00 noon on a Sunday or later with prior arrangement. 3 night stays have until 10.00am on the Monday. Additional guests for £10.00 per night as there are nine actual bed places - though I wouldn't recommend it for more than 3 couples The cottage is completely self-service - once you have a confirmed booking and have paid a £100.00 bond the key code is sent to you. Quirky village - not picturesque but has all the amenities you might need for a weekend away, such as take aways, late co-op with off-licence and pharmacy etc. But has good walks up the hills behind the village and great access to the Royal Forest of Dean and nearby Herefordshire. Direct buses from Gloucester train station drop off round the corner from the cottage, on Mill End The cottage has an open fire and a supply of logs provided. It has a hot tub (please drop the lid down when not in use to conserve heat) A lovely wood fired sauna cabin and a small portable BBQ firepit to use outside. It also has a secure courtyard with lockable gate and high walls, and cycle racks mounted on the side of the cottage for those having a weekend biking in the Forest of Dean. There's also outdoor hanging space for wet clothes for bikers and walkers and a hose for bike cleaning!
