Cosy rural retreat

Our 200 year-old cottage combines old-fashioned charm with modern comfort for a perfect rural retreat. Located in the heart of the beautiful village of Kingham: 90 minutes from London by train and a perfect base to explore the Cotswolds. Kingham boasts two award winning gastro pubs, The Wild Rabbit and the Kingham Plough, a superb village shop and is a short walk to the famous Daylesford Farm shop and spa. No surprise it was voted 'England's favourite village' by Country Life magazine! The cottage has a double and single bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower and a well stocked kitchen. The single bedroom has a pull out bed but please note it's not possible to fully close the door when it's out so probably not suitable for adults: fine for kids. Low doorways and the steep stairs are part of the cottage's charm, but care must be taken. There is a smart TV, wifi and a sunny, private patio garden. It is also just steps from the village green. Set in rolling countryside, there are wonderful walks locally, lots of beautiful Cotswolds towns and villages to explore as well as places of historical interest, such as National Trust properties, Hidcote Gardens and Stratford-upon-Avon. A keysafe at the cottage means that you can access the keys when you arrive. We are always available by phone for any queries.
