A detached cottage set in four acres enjoying a secluded position on the edge of the Exmoor National Park. The medieval village of Dunster is a 10 minute stroll away with pubs, restaurants, small shops, tea rooms and Dunster Castle (NT). The area is ideal for woodland, coastal and moorland walks. Minehead is a few miles away with its beach, shops, golf course and steam railway. The owners live in the adjacent cottage and are pleased to welcome you and be of any help during your stay. Ideal location for country, coastal and moorland walks Guests are most welcome to explore all the areas Alan and Linda welcome interaction with guests and are usually available to help with any tips and enquires during your stay. Pennywood sits alone down a country lane just a short stroll into Dunster village yet just a few minutes drive to Minehead town which has 3 main supermarkets, pubs, shops etc. We are situated on the edge of the Exmoor National Park which is positively stunning! Dunster beach is close by too so we have the best of both worlds... moors and sea! A car is the best form of transport on Exmoor to get from A to B as it’s hilly. Some energetic guests bring their bikes too! Some floors in the cottage are tiled - slippers would be useful to bring along. A torch will come in handy as the lane into Dunster village has no lights.
