Welcome to one of the Valley’s most iconic homes. Built in 1879, the Laughlin House is a landmark in the area and one of the original homes to the city of Yamhill. Located just 3 miles from downtown Carlton and minutes from a multitude of wineries of the various sub-AVA’s. Built in the Eastlake Gothic style, the Laughlin House boasts three bedrooms that have been thoughtfully designed with your getaway in mind. We bought this home knowing the work ahead but wanted to keep her as a landmark in the community. We are taking our time because we want to do it right. Even with some wallpaper touch ups, painting of some ceilings and stairs needed, she is still lovely and cozy for your stay. Situated on half an acre, the outdoor space is an ideal place to enjoy the resident flora and fauna. While exterior and outdoor landscaping improvements are still in progress, the backyard’s brick patio constructed of locally handmade bricks nearly a hundred years ago is perfect for dining al fresco, enjoying a glass of rosé, or simply watching the sun set over the Coast Range. Guests will have access to the whole home and yard besides the attic and the basement. The upper balconies are also not open at this time due to restorations needed. Host are available for questions anytime, in person, text or call. You can walk to get to local restaurants, shops and a small convince store. You will need a car to get to wineries and to the city of Carlton. Please message if transportation is a concern for you and we would be happy to help.
