LANKA YOGA | Superior Suite with Lake View

Lanka Yoga is an eco-conscious yoga themed boutique hotel set directly on Koggala lake. With a total of 11 rooms, a myriad of open spaces both indoor and outdoor, it is a place to get lost and explore. Lanka Yoga is beautifully set in nature, with much of the food coming from our organic vegetable garden and countless fruit trees. The view of Koggala lake dominates, with each room, the expansive yoga shala, the dining area, pool and many outdoor areas getting a front row seat. We run Lanka Yoga with a few guiding principles that help explain the venue and its feel. We believe everyone here should have a positive experience, where they learn, relax, and feel good while they’re here. That is not only true of you the guests, but for us, our staff, and everyone passing through. Second, we want to give back to nature, we are rewilding areas of our land, planting trees in and around Lanka Yoga and working with the community to help keep our village beautiful. Furthermore, we use technology to help negate our impact. Solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and wastewater treatment are just some of the technologies used here. At Lanka Yoga breakfast is included, homemade in our open plan kitchen by our lovely staff. Snacks and drinks are always available, and lunch and dinner can be provided if we know in advance. We also help organize trips, tuk-tuks, tours, yoga classes and massage both western and Ayurvedic on site. Lanka Yoga is a place to relax, spend time, or even use as a base for your further travels around this beautiful coast. SUPERIOR SUITE WITH LAKE VIEW The biggest room options at Lanka Yoga, these upstairs rooms in the main villa have space for up to five people. These huge rooms are equipped with a splittable king-size bed, two upper bunks integrated as a mezzanine with an option for a fifth mattress. They have a huge bathroom, which could be utilized by the whole group at the same time. With a separate toilet, two showers and two sinks. It should also be mentioned you can brush your teeth with an uninterrupted elevated view of Koggala lake. These rooms are designed to be cooled by cross ventilation, although have an AC for those who need it a little cooler. Furthermore, this room has a massive balcony out to the lake to relax, read and take in the view. The neighborhood is best to be explored walking if you'd like to take a stroll through the local village, or by boat, of course. Motorbikes, tuk-tuks and taxis can all be arranged by us. Stefan and Jane are super accommodating, they will answer all your questions and help with any organising you might need for your stay and beyond. The spacious house is closed to outsiders, you will only share it with Stefan, Jane and their lovely friend, a vegan chef who is staying with them. Lanka Yoga is on Koggala lake in a little-known village of Duwawalalagama. This location puts us at the first of the famous surf beaches on the South Coast of Sri Lanka. We are just five minutes from Habaraduwa town, which has a beautiful white sand beach. We are only ten minutes to all-year surf at Kabalana and Dewata, 35 minutes to find anything you need at the small city centre of Galle and two hours from the capital city of Colombo. The best way to get around is to rent a scooter, a tuk-tuk or with a tuk-tuk driver. Everything can be organized on-site.
