Vale da Burra is a house with a privileged view to the village of São Roque and to São Jorge island. Amazing landscape, where the green of the hills, the blue of the sea, and the aroma and sound of the countryside, full of calm and peace, stands out. With the green of the hills and the blue of the sea as background, the house is secluded, located in the countryside, in an area of woods and pasture. From the balconies and patio, you can enjoy the fantastic views and when the sky is clear, the fabulous sunset or starry night sky. You can also enjoy the outdoor shower, ideal for cooling off on hot days and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with barbecue. Decorated in a rustic style, the house consists of a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, two full bathrooms, three bedrooms, an office and a living room with fireplace. Vale da Burra combines the proximity to the village center and to all of the most relevant touristic spots of the island, with the tranquility and peace of the countryside. If you are a fan of nature you can find a diversity of endemic vegetation and the only endemic mammal of the archipelago, the Azorean bat (Nyctalus azoreum). You can also have the privilege of observing other species such as the Buzzard (Buteo buteo), the Azores Wood Pigeon (Columba palumbus azorica), the Grey wagtail (Motacilla cinerea patriciae), among others. On rainy days the house is sometimes surrounded by fog, which gives it a certain mysticism. Vale da Burra is a fully independent space with private entrance and free parking inside of the property (outdoors). Access to the entire house including an ample outdoor space, outdoor shower, outdoor kitchen with barbecue, forest and a area with fruit trees. Here you can find an environment of tranquility and comfort. I insist on receiving my guests personally (in my absence my mother Cristina will receive them). I am always contactable by phone or email. We open the doors of Vale da Burra to receive guests we treat as friends, always with privacy and discretion. We try our best to make sure that every guest have a unique and unforgettable experience of the best that Pico has to offer. Vale da Burra is located in São Roque do Pico in a place called São Miguel Arcanjo. The house is secluded, without houses nearby, situated in a rural area about 5 minutes’ drive from the center of São Roque. Important: Car rental is required to reach Vale da Burra given its secluded location. - Check-out until 13:00h (1:00pm) and check-in after 17:00h (5pm), however depending on the case there is flexibility. - If you need a crib please request. - Free cleaning every three days if requested. - There are no dangerous wild animals around the house. Only harmless animals such as birds and rabbits. -As the house is set in the midle of nature, some little harmless animals can be seen around.
