Upper Carlston Farm

A spacious and charming country cottage in a quiet setting close to the Campsie fells. The cottage is situated on a working farm and offers beautiful views of rural farmland. There is a garden area with lawn and decking. A Rayburn in the kitchen and a wood burning stove in the living room make for cosy nights in during the Scottish winter. The cottage is well positioned to allow guests to take full advantage of the great outdoors. There is a wide range of activities to enjoy in the local area including walking, golf, fishing, cycling and country parks. The stunning Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is a 30 minute drive away. Glasgow is just 6.5 miles away and offers extensive shopping, museums, art galleries and restaurants. Other tourist attractions such as the Falkirk Wheel, the Kelpies and Stirling Castle are easily accessible. Edinburgh is an hour's drive away. Guests will have the whole cottage and garden to themselves. We live within close proximity to the cottage and will be more than happy to provide advice and assistance when required. The property is located in a quiet country setting. The nearest village is Torrance, it is a friendly community with a small shop, 3 pubs(which serve food), a café and a pharmacy. One of the local churches has a community café which is open 3 mornings a week offering freshly baked scones and other homebaking! Parking is available at the property. The nearest bus stop is in the village of Torrance, 1 mile away. There are train stations closeby in Bishopbriggs and Lenzie.
